A few minutes after those pesky girls leave. Itadori was looking at the scenery. the sun was lazily inching its way down the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the dog park. Fushiguro sat cross-legged on the grass, Itadori's white-husked companion, Takeo, at his side. The dog's tail wagged furiously as Fushiguro absentmindedly scratched behind his ears, lost in thought.Meanwhile, Itadori was sprawled out on the steps leading to the dog park, his eyes fixed on the playful duo. Takeo was bounding around, trying to entice Fushiguro into a game of fetch. Despite his solemn nature, Fushiguro couldn't help but crack a small smile at the persistent pup.
Itadori couldn't tear his gaze away. He was mesmerized by the sight of the usually stoic class president letting loose with a dog, something he'd never seen before. He wanted to be the dog. The golden retriever was whining at the fact, he was getting no attention. Itadori kept on staring. It was as if a new side of Fushiguro was emerging, one that was carefree and joyful.
"Hey, Fushiguro, I've never seen you like this before," Itadori called out, unable to contain his amazement.
Fushiguro looked up, a faint pink hue coloring his cheeks as he realized he had been caught in a moment of pure relaxation. "Takeo has a way of bringing out the playful side of me, I guess," he admitted, a softness in his voice.
As the afternoon sun dipped lower, the four of them continued to enjoy the simple pleasure of each other's company. Takeo's and Ryuu's infectious energy seemed to infuse the air around them, lifting their spirits and temporarily easing the weight of their lives.
Itadori watched on, the scene etching itself into his memory as a testament to the beauty of simple joys amidst the chaos of their world. He knew that even in the darkest of times, there would always be moments like these to treasure.
Itadori asked megumi if he'd like to get ice cream with him. He agreed, since there was nothing else to do. Itadori and Megumi strolled down the bustling street, the warm evening air filled with the chatter of people and the tantalizing scent of freshly baked waffle cones.
They were on a mission - to find the best ice cream parlor in town. Itadori's two loyal companions, Takeo and Ryuu, trotted happily alongside them, tongues lolling in excitement.
As they turned the corner, they spotted a quaint little ice cream shop, its windows adorned with colorful pictures of sundaes and milkshakes. Itadori's eyes lit up, and he softly tapped Megumi's shoulder. "Hey, Megumi, let's try this place! I heard they have the most amazing flavors."
Megumi nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Sure, sounds good to me."
As they entered the shop, the cool air inside provided a welcome relief from the summer heat. Itadori's eyes darted around, scanning the array of flavors on display. Megumi chuckled softly at the athletes excitement, finding himself admiring the way the soft light in the shop illuminated Itadori's features.
'Maybe Itadori was not that bad..'-megumi thought.
After much deliberation, Itadori settled on a triple scoop of strawberry, chocolate, and green tea ice cream in a waffle cone, while Megumi opted for a single scoop of vanilla in a cup. They made their way outside, finding a cozy spot to sit on a nearby bench. Takeo and Ryuu plopped down at their feet, their tails wagging contentedly as they watched the passersby.
As Itadori savored his first bite, a delighted expression spread across his face. "Mmm, this is amazing! Megumi, you have to try a bit of this green tea flavor. It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth!"
Megumi chuckled, accepting the offered spoon. As he took a taste, he couldn't help but notice Itadori's unwavering gaze fixed upon him, a softness in his eyes that he couldn't quite place.
"Wow, you're right," Megumi agreed, trying to shake off the warmth that had settled in his chest. "This is really good."
The sun dipped lower in the sky as they chatted and laughed, savoring their sweet treats and the simple pleasure of each other's company. As they finished their ice cream, Itadori's gaze lingered on megumi.
Their eyes locked for a moment, a silent understanding passing between them. Itadori grinned, the setting sun casting a warm glow around them.
"I know my dogs sort of pressured you into hanging out with me... but I'm glad they had fun. If there's a next time I'll definitely let you babysit them"-Itadori suggested, his voice infused with genuine warmth.
Megumi nodded, a soft smile gracing his lips. "Yeah, I'd like that."
As they gathered their things and started to head home, the evening air was filled with the sound of their laughter and the jingle of Takeo and Ryuu's collars.
It was a simple moment, but one that Itadori would never forget.
