Kang Hana's POV

Closing the door to my room after planting a kiss on Beomgyu's cheek, I couldn't shake off the feeling that things were changing within me. Every time I spent time with him, something shifted, as if being around him allowed me to reveal my true self without fear of judgment.

Changing into comfortable clothes, I couldn't shake off the unease that accompanied my recent interactions with Junho either. Our conversation earlier about the incident report felt strange. He seemed to not address the situation properly, and I sensed something wasn't right. I didn't mention this to Beomgyu, not wanting to add to his worries, but I couldn't shake the feeling. Lying on my bed, I replayed our conversation in my head.

I knocked on Junho's door to update him about the restaurant incident. His soft invitation to enter echoed through the door. Turning the knob, I found Junho packing his belongings. He turned, a smile lighting up his face as he greeted me.

"Ms. Kang, it's been a while since we've spoken. Come in. Is there anything wrong?"

"Actually, yes, I need to report an incident that occurred this afternoon while Beomgyu and the Princess were on their date."

Junho scrunched his eyebrows together in worry as he pulled up a chair next to mine and took a seat. "What happened? Beomgyu isn't hurt, is he?"

"No, fortunately, I intervened just in time, before any harm could come to him. Besides, I don't believe it was intended for Beomgyu. The person handed me a note, and it was directed toward me."

Junho sighed into his hands, not out of worry but with the air of a team leader disappointed by a missed shot in a basketball game.

This reaction left me a bit skeptical, but I chose to overlook it as Junho shook his head, saying, "It's my fault. Maybe if I weren't so careless..."

"It's alright, Mr. Junho. It turned out to be just a warning."

Junho managed a smile, though it seemed to lack sincerity, perhaps weighed down by guilt for not ensuring Beomgyu's safety or some other undisclosed matter.

Upon reflection, Junho appeared to be evasive about the incident, but my inclination toward him being a genuinely nice person prevailed.

As the ringing of my phone jolted me awake, I groggily got out of bed and noticed that Choi Soobin was calling.

Answering the phone and rubbing my eyes for clarity, I was met with Soobin's frantic voice, "Kang Hana, what the hell did you do?"

"What? What are you on about at 7:30 in the morning?"

"Just check the news."

Grabbing the TV remote from my bookstand, I switched to the news channel and was taken aback. The headline declared 'Prince Choi Beomgyu of Daegu and his bodyguard Kang Hana allegedly on a date on the night of BTS concert.'

The image showed me hugging him, but it didn't capture the context of me protecting him from a potential threat. Instead, it appeared almost romantic, despite the situation.

Attempting to explain to Soobin, I countered, "Soobin, that wasn't a date. It was the night Beomgyu sneaked out and nearly got killed."

"The... Then why are you hugging him?"

"Soobin, come on, not you too. I was saving him from getting stabbed, the photo angle is misleading."

"Well, Hana, you explain that to the King, he wants to fire you and hire a new bodyguard, a male one."
