ROSE WAS ALWAYS a great swimmer. She always had been. Growing up in District Four aka the fishing district, she was surrounded by beaches and bodies of water, she truly had no choice but to expert swimming. This truly came in handy when the arena started flooding, she was glad she could finally showcase her true set of skills. Of course there was no swimming pool in the training area, but it didn't matter since she got the highest score without touching water once.

The moment Rose heard Connors scream, adrenaline pushed her past limits she wasn't even aware she had. She thrashed herself through the water like a rocket, feeling almost at home as her head dipped under the freezing water that shoved her every which way.

But the harsh waters were no match for her determination, she had to make it. Thunder boomed above her and her head kept splashing around, completely destroying her sense of direction. She could feel her muscles tiring, she's hardly eaten or slept in multiple days, making her lack the strength she needed to do this. She thought this might be it for her, until she clashed into a very tall rock.

She grabbed onto the edges with her slippery hands and managed to pull herself up, gasping for air as she attempted to adjust to her new environment. Her chest burned as she coughed up any water she managed to swallow, she had to keep going but she couldn't find the strength to get herself off of the rock.

She felt something brushing her ear, she immediately stumbled back, almost falling off the rock as her vision adjusted to see the hanging body above her.

She let out a horrified scream as her eyes moved up the body, the first thing she saw was his stomach ripped open and his intestines hanging out flimsily as he swayed in the harsh winds. Then she saw his neck, he was practically decapitated as his head was hanging on by a thread, hanging on its side as its cold eyes stared down at her.

Thats when she got a good look at his face. She whispered his name painfully as she stared up at Connors stiff expression. She couldn't believe somebody could deform him so badly, it was one thing killing him but to be so cruel you took the time to make sure she did as much damage as possible.

Pure rage bubbled in her stomach, spewing from her throat in a series of screams as she was unable to form proper words. Her heart ached as she lifted herself to her feet, touching his face as tears streamed down her face. He was supposed to make it out of here, get back to his family and take care of his siblings. She couldn't believe she did all that for nothing, she dropped to her knees once again as she sobs into the palms of her hands that dug into her eyes. A part of her soul had chipped off as she stared up at the drone with furious eyes.

"It's all your fault." She mumbled through gritted teeth. She imagined she was talking directly to president snow, though she could only imagine he got the message and changed his ways. But that was never a possibility, nothing she could do could ever change anything about the world, she was just a girl who happened to get tossed into the endless number of tributes.

"You're murderers! All of you! This is your fault!" Rose screamed louder than she ever has before, her mouth moved before her brain could process what she was doing. She sliced her sword out of its socket as she jumps up carefully to grab onto the drone.

"You're going to fucking pay." She growled before slicing her sword into the camera, cutting off all view of her from The Capital. She hated them. She needed them gone. She knew she would always be locked under The Capitals grip, she just hoped she could watch it fall before her final breath. If she couldn't do it herself, she just needed to know it would happen. She couldn't stand the fact that there was nothing she could do from inside the arena.
