I cannot beleive how often I've been dumster diving now. Once school was over I found a fabric companies bin, it was more complicated but the basics of what I got to design my suit were red and blue fabric, blark thread, some reflective googles (I even managed to find white ones when I went to the pool company!), and a sewing machine, (as well as some spare circuits and other things from a tech company).
It amazes me what you can find in bins.
The desgins of the suit came naturally to me, like I had built it or designed it a hundred times before, I probably had. I remembered designing my first suit, it was crappy but it hid my identity, the second suit was far better, and I remembered re-building that one every time it got destroyed, each time I'd have an idea and add something new, then the iron spider, I designed it with Tony.
I couldn't add much of what I'd usually like and something was missing, something important... but! I put those thoughts to the side and held it up, I was half way through my first spider-suit of this place! I could finish it faster if I had better resorces.
I reached my hand over to web one of my bread roles and get it over here as celebration and then I remembered it! The webs! That was what the formula was for! I quickly started making the first batch, I could not wait to swing again!
I fell asleep happily with the spider suit and everything else I've found stuffed into a backpack I found on the way home.
...
And then I woke up covered in snow, I gasped and hugged myself. I tried to push the snow out from under the water-tank but there was too much of it and I was shaking too badly. Wind whipped around and whistled through my ears, my entire body was shivered badly and I slung my backpack on my shoulder and walked to the nearest homeless shelter I remembered. Fun fact, spiders can't thermoregulate.
I needed shelter or else I would die. I walked across the street and started running to the homeless shelter, the entire place made my skin crawl but I didn't have a choice. I walked in and up to the desk, my spider senses got worse but I ignored it "Hi deary." the old woman was sickly sweet and I didn't trust her but I had no choice
"D-do you have any space?" I asked
"Of course, why are you here deary?" she asked
"I- I need shelter from the st-t-t- storm." I shivered
"Okay, I'll get you a room then deary," my spider senses screamed and I ran, two men stood with behind me one had a bat one had a sword and both of them were staring at me.I shouldn't of come here. My luck in the storm was better than this. I couldn't think straight because of the cold and the constant buzzing of my spider senses was making me anxious and panicky. I ran, trying to duck under them and one of the grabbed me, the other one stabbed me through my side, it didn't go deep but it hurt and I screamed
"Shut up." the one with the bat said and everything went dark....
I woke up and my head throbbed, I groaned and suddenly I remembered what happened and I flew up and opened my eyes. I was chained to a bed and it was going dark, I must have been asleep for nearly a whole day. My stomach growled and I looked at my wound, my healing factor had helped enoeugh that I could move with it, but not well and I had burnt up all my food to heal that far, only had half day left of school too.
My spider senses flared up again and I heard footsteps near the room
"Lights out dearys!" the old woman called. There was a flick and it took my eyes a second to adjust to the dark, but the moment I did I pulled on the chains tying me to the bed. It was far harder than it should have been for me and it hurt my wrists but I got out, the chains fell to the floor and I jumped down silently. It was a dormitory bunk beds everywhere even not against the walls like you'd see in a mattress shop, the bed frames were metal and not strong enough, everyone was chained to them and theer was a kid in every mattress.
I could barely see so I knew no one else would be able to see me. I would have to help everyone here later, first I had to help myself. I crawled up the wall and through the window that was above the door the old lady had opened. The ceiling was disgusting and there were lights in the hallways but no one ever looked up, I found a room that said lost property, yeah right.
The door was unlocked so I crawled in and grabbed my bag and also a thing of spray paint, ignoring everyone elses stuff. I had an idea.
It was fully dark by the time I got outside and there were no street lights, so I crawled up the wall off the building and pulled out my spray paint...
...
I stood back on the street to admire my work, in big red lettering it read 'CHILD ABUSERS IN THIS BUILDING' it had bad spelling and my handwriting wasn't great but it got the message across. I grinned happily and then the adrenaline wore off and I buckled over in pain.
I knew it wasn't safe on the streets so I limped over to an alley way and hid behind a trash bin, I pulled out one of the bread rolls in my bag and managed to eat half of it before passing out.
