A New Subject- Project 863

The beginning of the text ch 2

Lily's POV:

It is my first day at Hi5 I am excited but nervous because I am somehow wrapped up in this project they are part of. As I walk into blue base first thing I see is Bailey.

She looks up and smiles at me "Hey Lily welcome to your first day!" she says cheerfully.

I smile and thank her, "Hey where is Matt?" 

"In here!' I hear Matt yell from the office next to Bailey's desk.

"Hey so glad you've made it to your first day, you excited?" Matt ask turning around in mega desk to look at me.

I admire his office for a minute before responding "Yes I am actually just a bit nervous but it's just first day jitters." I say with a smile looking at him. Someone walks past and then turns around once she realized I was in there.

"Oh my gosh!  Hi you must be Lily. Im Samantha it's so nice to officially meet you.'' She says coming  to hug me

I accept the hug then pull back "Hi yup that's me, nice to meet you.'' 

I sit down in the chairs in Matt's office while he works on mega desk and I get caught up with everything that has happened.

"Hey Matt do you got a second .'' I hear Samantha say kinda skittish. I turn and look up to see her with the camera rig and 2 mics. She hands me one and continues. "I heard noises coming from the vault."

"hey woods!' she yells down the hall for woods to come in

"wait what do you mean you heard noises?" Matt ask

"from the phone in the LAPD case and figured we could check whats happening.'' Samantha explains.

Matt and her talk back and forth for minute talking about whats is going on then woods walks in. He looks over at me nods and smiles. I have actually already met woods he the one that actually suggested I apply here. which now that I think about it kinda makes sense.

"Oh guys by the way we have a new employee who will hopefully be helping us through all this mess going on." Matt explains as Samantha turns the camera towards me.

I smile and wave "Hi I'm Lily" I say while still waving for a second.

"wait so what is happening?" woods ask and Samantha explains what she heard in the vault.

We all head upstairs and Matt types in the code for the vault.  As we walk in Matt and woods stop as Matt turns around to woods taking the stuffed sloth from woods' arms 

"stop!" woods whines playfully then laughs.

Matt goes and grabs the phone "Okay so you opened it but didn't look through it. He began to read the messages

"Answer Immediately" this was about 20 minutes ago Matt explains and then continues

I know you still have this phone, answer immediately.

I have some information for you If you answer soon, we're all on the same page here regardless of if our goals are different.
