Today Tris and I have to sing at the talent show and I'm totally ready. We've worked really hard on our duet and the best part is 1) it's with Tris and 2) it's my favorite song ever. Last night my mom made me come home because I've been spending the night over at Tris's house too much. So when I woke up I was all alone in my bed.

I hopped up and ran into my bathroom and took a quick shower. When I got out I applied some axe and got dressed in a black Under Armour muscle tee and some denim jeans. By the time I was done I had thirty more minutes before school starts.

I ran downstairs to grab some breakfast. When I got down there I saw a plate of chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. I saw my mom drinking her coffee and looking out the kitchen widow at Zeke and mine old tree house that we never go in any more.

"Hey mom." I say startling her a little and sitting down to eat breakfast.

"Oh, hello Uriah I'm glad that you decided to come and stay at home last night." She says flashing a smile and sitting her coffee down.

"Yeah, well I mean I guess I need to spend time with you too." I say with a mouth full of bacon. She just rolls her eyes at me and sits down across from me.

"So do you know where Zeke is I'm gonna need a ride to school." I say finishing off my pancakes and bacon.p

"Yeah I believe he went back up to his room to get ready." She said taking my plate and putting it away in the dish washer. I kissed her cheek and ran back upstairs. I ran to my room grabbed my backpack and phone.

"Zeke!" I yell going into his room, I find him on his phone on laying halfway on his bed. His legs are on the bed and his back and head are on the floor.

"What do you want Uriah?" He asks me with annoyance in his voice.

"Well, I would like this thing called a ride to school, you know that place we 'learn' stuff for the future." I say with sarcasm in my voice. He just sighs and rolls over to get up but fails badly, instead when he rolled he slipped on his comforter and face planted into the hard wood floor.

I couldn't help but laugh at his stupid mistake. He groans in pain and rubs his nose. He glares at me and then grabs his stuff and we make our way back downstairs. He grabs his keys to his 2014 Ford F-150.

"Bye mom!" I yell walking out the door, Zeke quickly gives mom a hug and kiss on the cheek and hops in the truck with me.

"I'm surprised that you decided to come home last night." Zeke looks over slightly and raises his eyebrows.

I roll my eyes at him and sigh, all I want to know is why it's wrong to stay the night at your girls friends house for a few nights then stay at your actual house another.

"Is there something with staying the night at home Zeke?" I ask him getting annoyed.

"No, it's just you were at her house for quite a while." Zeke says pulling into the school parking lot and parking near the tree we always meet at.

I roll my eyes again. I open my mouth to say something but he hops out of the truck and shuts the door. I scoff and get out too with my bag slung over my shoulder.

I get on my phone and see I have two messages from Tris. I smile to myself as I read them, the first one says...

"Hey good morning☀️"
"Can't wait for tonight!🎶🎤"

I really liked the last one. I finally make it to the tree and I see that it's only the Guys right now.

I check the time and we have ten more minutes just as I was about to text Tris and ask where she was, I felt arms wrap themselves around me. I turn around and see Tris standing behind me.

"Hey, I was just about to text you." I say, then kiss her cheek and I see her blush a bit.

She looks really cute today, she's wearing a pink tank top with a silver heart and 'Forever' in silver cursive in the heart, pink sandals and pre-ripped/pre-faded jeans.

May I say she looks hot.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Tris asks looking at everyone else.

She gets a bunch of 'goods' or 'oks' in reply. She nods then turns her attention back to me and smiles.

"So you ready for tonight?" She asks and that gets Zeke's attention quickly.

"Oooo what's tonight?" He says wiggling his eyebrows.

"Oh my god Zeke your disgusting, it's the talent show remember that sing we have to sing at!" I yell at him.

"Oh yeah, whoops I forgot well I'm coming to cheer you guys on right up front." He says with a smirk and that means he will do anything to embarrass me tonight.

"Oh god Zeke what are you planning?!" I almost yell at him.

"Oh now that's for me to know and for you to find out." He says smirking then he walks away with Four to et to his classes.

"Uriah what is he going to do?" Tris asks as we make our way to our lockers. We get there and put our combos in. I sigh and think of something to tell her.

"I actually have no clue except that he will embarrass me or us in a horrible way tonight." I say and look over and she has a worried look on her face.

"Hey, don't worry we can always get him back." I say give her a quick peck on the lips then grabbing her hand and heading to class. She nods and we go to our home room to start one hell of a day.
