Astapor - Two years ago
"Davion?" A feminine voice called out and Davion saw her. The first love of his life.
"Leona." Davion looked at her and she was as beautiful as the day he first met her.
"Come, my love. Hold my hand and we will watch the sunset in Kings Landing together. Just as you promised." She said as she held out her hand.
"Yes. Let us. Just as I promised you." Davion said with tears in his eyes.
"Then let is waste no more time." Leona said.
The moment Davion took her hand he was dragged away from her. "No! Leona no! Take me with you!"
Davions room
Davion violently shot up out of bed and looked around. He then turned to sit in the edge of his bad and rubbed his face. It was only a dream. He missed Leona, he missed Takmet, he missed his father and even though he ruined his life. He missed Joffrey, or at least who Joffery was before he betrayed Davion.
"You're awake." Desma said.
"I am. Were you successful?" Davion asked.
"Yes I was. You can meet with the slaves now." She said. "There's an underground tunnel in Zheraks palace that leads to the slaves quarters and they have a agreed to hear what you have to say."
"Thank you. How many slaves are there in Volantis?" Davion asked.
"I wouldn't be able to give you a correct number, but there are five slaves for every free man in Volantis." Desma said.
"And I will free them all." Davion said and this confused Desma. Yesterday Davion seemed as if he wanted to leave Volantis before liberating the slaves and today he seems more than determined to fight for Volantis even if it meant that he was going to do it alone. "Good luck Davion."
'Thank you." Davion got dressed and left to the location that Desma gave to him
Davion went through the tunnels and found a secluded area and was greeted by an old man. He looked sick and skinny.
"You're whom the priestess spoke of?" The man asked in high valyrian.
"Yes, I am Davion Baratheon." Davion introduced himself.
"Good. Come. Let us meet with the rest of our brethren." He said and they walked to his quarters.
When Davion arrived he was greeted by about thirty slaves. He knew this wasn't all of them, but he had to start somewhere.
"Forgive me for barging in like this." Davion spoke up. "I've come to talk to all of you about rising up against the Master of Masters Zherak." Davion heard some whispers among them.
"We cannot fight him. We cannot even fight." A woman holding her child spoke up.
"He's committed atrocities to us!" Another man shouted.
"He'll kill us all." A teenage boy said.
"I'm not asking for experienced soldiers." Davion said. "I'm asking for warrior."
"What's the difference, boy?" The old man asked.
Davion sighed. "Warriors fight for what they believe in. Warriors fight for their family."
