"Ugh, where is this stupid thing?" Y/N kicked rocks while she and Fushiguro walked around through the forest in search of the grade two curse.
"It's got to be somewhere..."
"How profound, Fushigro. Such groundbreaking news!"
Forget cursed techniques, this woman is a special grade sarcasm sorcerer. Fushiguro rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"How do you think Itadori is doing? It sounded like they were pretty evenly matched from what we were able to observe before we got too far away."
Fushiguro thought back to the glimpses of the fight that they caught as they parted ways with Itadori. Todo was Todo, but Yuji... that kid was special.
"I think he can hold his own, and," Fushiguro nodded to her phone that she was currently texting Inumaki on, "Given that there hasn't been a notification of his retirement, he's still alive and kicking."
"You're so smart, Fushiguro!" The girl kept on walking but Megumi paused for a moment so that she wouldn't see his burning cheeks.
Y/N kept making short conversation while they searched the expansive campus and Fushiguro enjoyed listening to her voice.
"Wait." she stopped dead in her tracks and the boy almost ran into her. "It was Gojo who hinted at the forest..."
"Yes. Why does that matter?"
"Do you really think Yaga would just tell Gojo where the curse would be, knowing his big mouth would spill it."
"Are you saying that you think Yaga misled Gojo in preparation for his lack of secrecy?"
"Exactly!" she gave him a high five for his mind reading and started jogging out of the forest and back into the structures of the campus that they'd came from.
"If I was hiding a curse, I'd put it in the last place the students would return to: where they started!"
Gojo spit out his tea in the observation room.
"YAGA?"
The principal just laughed along with Mei Mei, who made fun of Gojo for his students' implications of his love for drama and secrets.
"Gojo, that is so disgusting. Clean up after yourself, would you?" Utahime was as disgusted as ever with his behavior, but also was secretly amused.
"Y/N and Fushiguro breathed heavily as they began to scour through streets and buildings for the curse. They'd found multiple smaller curses but no sign of the larger prize.
As Fushiguro rounded the corner, he was approached by Kamo.
Y/N hid behind the wall, hoping that Kamo hadn't sensed her presence yet. The two boys were locked in a standoff. Arrow after arrow flew by and Y/N held herself back from jumping in. Given that Kamo hadn't targeted her, she was still a secret weapon. It hurt her to listen to Kamo's hits land on Fushiguro, but she had to wait for optimal timing.
As Kamo knocked the Tokyo boy into a wall, Y/N took her chance.
She rounded the corner and released two projectiles at him, both landing in his two shoulders respectively. He turned around shocked, just to barely dodge a third that scratched his cheek.
"L/N? Where did you come fr-"
Fushiguro punched him in the face and it took all her self control to not laugh out loud.
Kamo recovered quickly, and despite being outnumbered he held an even fight. Arrows, metal shards, cards, and blood littered the floor. Fushiguro was running out of shikigami to summon and Y/N's techniques weren't as effective in such a tight space.
