"Don't... come... near me..." she whispered, her voice trembling with fear, her eyes tightly shut.
"Blossom, listen to me," Yash said softly, holding her close, gently tapping her cheeks. "It's just a nightmare. Open your eyes, love. Try to come bac...

"Krish, don't! I've already draped this saree fifty times and fixed it back fifty times. If it opens again because of you, I swear I'll stop giving you those chocolates I sneak for you!" I scolded, annoyed.
Krish, my five-year-old nephew, might seem like a sweet, adorable bundle of joy to others, but let me tell you-he's the most mischievous and dramatic member of our family. Yet, despite all that, I love my little Golu to bits.
"Solly Buei, aab nahi kalunga!" he said, apologizing with big, pleading eyes.
("Sorry Buei, I won't do it again!")
"Hmm!" I hummed in response, though my tone must have come off a bit too harsh.
Sensing my mood, Krish looked up at me and said again, "Buei, aab toh solly bhi bol diya, aab aap mujhe cocolate dogi naa?"

I could hear the crack in his little voice, and when I looked at him, his eyes were brimming with tears. My heart melted instantly. I knelt down to his level and pulled him into a hug.
" Aree Jaana, don't cry, my baby. I was just teasing you," I whispered.
His teary eyes sparkled with hope. "So, you'll give me the cocolate?"
"Of course, Mere Golu! How could your Buei not give you cocolate? Now stop crying," I said, wipping his tears and mimicking his baby voice.
"Sukliya!" he chirped happily, wiping his own tears again.
("Thank you!")
"Buei, you know what..." he started, his little face lighting up.
"What?" I asked, smiling.
"You are best se bhi upar wala best!" he declared proudly.
I laughed at his sweet words. This little buttering-up expert!
"Yes, yes, upar wala best. Because your Buei is the only one giving chocolates to your cavity-filled teeth, and you, little devil, happily accept it," said Rehan Bhai, entering the room with a playful grin.
