"Don't... come... near me..." she whispered, her voice trembling with fear, her eyes tightly shut.
"Blossom, listen to me," Yash said softly, holding her close, gently tapping her cheeks. "It's just a nightmare. Open your eyes, love. Try to come bac...

I was feeling so nervous that my palms were practically waterfalls. It's normal for them to sweat when I'm anxious, but this time, it was way too much.
It's overwhelming!
I was still in my room, all dressed up in a saree, wearing my Mama's jewelry, holding her photo tightly in my hands.
Caressing the frame, I whispered, "You know, Mumma, I'm wearing your favorite bangles today. Look at these," I said, showing the bangles to the picture.
I know it's just a photo, and she can't actually see me, but somehow it comforts me. Maybe she's watching me from somewhere up there, looking at her Gudiya with pride.
I was going through an emotional storm. The bangles I'm wearing were her absolute favorite. She used to say that Papa gifted them to her during their wedding ceremony. Since then, they had been her most cherished possession.
But now, as I wear them, neither of my parents is here to see me.
How unfair life feels sometimes!
A lone tear slipped down my cheek as I thought about all this.
Suddenly, the door to my room opened, and my breath caught. I quickly wiped away my tears, but when I saw who it was, I relaxed a little.
"Gudiya, come on. The groom's family is calling," Bhabhi said with a warm smile.
Her words made me more anxious. My hands started trembling. I've always been sensitive, and even the smallest bit of nervousness can make me intensify.
Bhabhi noticed my shaking hands and, for some reason, just smiled.
"Here I am having a mini heart attack, and you're smiling?" I said, pouting like a little kitten.
Instead of laughing more, she took my trembling hands into hers, giving them a reassuring squeeze.
Her touch felt calming.
"Every girl goes through this beautiful yet unwanted phase at some point. Today is your day. I know you're a little scared, but once you go downstairs and meet everyone, all your fears will disappear," she said, trying to soothe me.
