"Don't... come... near me..." she whispered, her voice trembling with fear, her eyes tightly shut.
"Blossom, listen to me," Yash said softly, holding her close, gently tapping her cheeks. "It's just a nightmare. Open your eyes, love. Try to come bac...

When Bade Papa said we should talk alone, my heart began thumping so loudly I was sure everyone could hear it too. What was happening today? My emotions felt foreign, like they didn't belong to me. I was always a bit odd, but today... everything felt so different.
Bhabhi guided us to a small, cozy living room. This space was reserved for Bhaiya and Bade Papa's important office discussions, and in the entire mansion, it was my favorite. There was an indescribable calm in the air here, the kind of peace that felt like a warm embrace. I'd even painted a few of my canvases here when I needed inspiration.
As we reached the entrance, Bhabhi turned to us with that dazzling smile of hers - "Take your time," she said sweetly.
I stared at her in disbelief. Seriously Bhabhi??
How could she just leave me like this, alone with a stranger? Sure, he was my to-be husband, but still, a stranger.
"Yes, he's a stranger," I reminded myself. "Until I get to know him better."
"Which is exactly why your Bhabhi left you two alone," my conscience mocked.
Shut up. I don't need your gyaan right now!
Gathering every ounce of courage I had, I turned to him and, avoiding eye contact, mumbled, "Andar chalein?" (Shall we go inside?)
My voice sounded hesitant, like I was asking for permission.
He responded with a quiet humm, and for some inexplicable reason, my stomach erupted with butterflies. How could just a simple hum sound so... attractive? So smooth? And........sexy also,,,,
No, no, no! Stop thinking like this, Vaani. Have you lost your mind?
I mentally slapped myself.
He started walking ahead of me, but right before entering the room, he stopped abruptly. Completely lost in my thoughts, I bumped straight into him.
"Ouch!" I silently yelped.
I quickly realized just how tall he was - at least 6'2, maybe more. I barely reached his shoulders. And, well, he was... undeniably handsome.
Stop ogling, silly girl.
I felt tiny next to him, almost like a child. But why had he stopped so suddenly?
And then I heard a voice, small but firm: "Mele bina pelmission ke mele Buei ko kahan ja lahe hoo?" (Where are you taking my aunt without my permission?)
