A short while later, her sister-in-law arrived, carrying a ceremonial plate adorned with our tilak essentials.
Her Bhabhi then handed it over to her Badi Mama ,with elegance . Then her Badi Mama subsequently approached us gracefully . Right there, my mother retrieved the chunri from the substantial plate she had given to my Blossom 🌸. And Adored her head with that chunri .
Maa then , elegantly secured the Chunri on her head and it gracefully fluttered in the air .
The chunri she wore looked so stunning that anyone who saw her would become smitten . I got captivated . My Pupils were only gazeing upon her in admiration .
She is looking like a moon 🌝
Meri Chaand !!
( My Moon 🌙 )
While marveling at my Blossom 🌸, a subtle throat clearing brought me back to reality. It dawned on me that everyone's eyes were on me .
Excluding my Blossom .....
I became so absorbed in her beauty that I forgot the presence of our entire family . The realization struck me, and embarrassment flooded in - all this, right in front of My Blossom .
The awkwardness was palpable, leaving me wondering what thoughts might occupied her mind. Is she pondering why her fiance is unintentionally became the spotlight ?
What even my blossom is thinking .....
" Kki apne hi fiance ko yeh Aadmi tadh raha hai . "
Fuck this discomfort !!!
I was thinking all this when her Badi Maa said " Beta forward your hand ... " And in response I nodded and forwarded my hand to her . She then gesture me to uphold my shirt's sleeve . Following her guidance , I rolled up the sleeves of my shirt.
Then she adorned my wrists with a red thread , a symbol of goodwill . When the time came to apply vermillion on my forehead , I respectfully placed my palm over the back of tmy head . Tenderly , she marked my forehead with sindoor and performed my arti. As a gesture of blessing . Then her Badi Mama and Bade Papa handed me a monetary gift in a red envelope and a coconut wrapped in a red cloth , signifying auspiciousness .
With utmost respect, I accepted that auspicious offerings from their hands . And took their blessings with gratitude . Likewise, my mother arrived and performed the tilak ceremony with my beloved. She delicately applied vermillion tika to her forehead, conducted the aarti ritual, and graciously offered a heartfelt monetary gift.
As the tilak concluded, a palpable joy enveloped everyone.
" This marks the first small step toward our new life. Congratulations , Blossom 🌸 ..." I whispered internally.
