A A R O H I

I woke up due to the screaming in the house. Aayan and Divya are fighting. Again. They are always fighting like animals. Screaming, scratching and what not.

I got up and went for a bath after making my bed. After a bath I decided to wear a white shirt, brown trousers with a matching brown coat.

I was about to go downstairs when my assistant, Shweta, called me asking about the meeting with Mrs. Kapoor.

The Kapoor's are really good clients of ours. Mrs. Kapoor, a 35 year old woman, and her husband have known me since I started my company.

They were my first clients when I just started interior designing and they both are a really sweet couple.

“Ma'am, Mrs. Kapoor called to change the time for the meeting. Should I fix one at 2p.m.”

“Do I have any other free time in my schedule today?”, I asked, not wanting a meeting at 2.

“No ma'am, you have a really busy schedule today”, she said, making me groan internally.

I really don't want to do this today. It's been two days since I met Abhay, my boyfriend of 3 years.

We are really busy with work that we don't get time for ourself which is why I planned a lunch date for us at 2 and now it went vein.

“Ok then arrange for the meeting”, Saying so I dismissed the call and went for breakfast.

I reached the dining room where my whole family was present laughing at something. I took a seat near my elder brother Dev.

Theo,a baby golden retriever, my pet dog, came running to me and started nuzzling my leg.

“Hey baby, you didn't come to wake me up today”,I said while rubbing my hand on his head. He in return snuggled closer to my leg.

I caressed his head until our food came.

Theo was having his usual dog food and I had Gobi ke paranthe in front of me.

We were all eating in silence when my grandfather spoke.

“My childhood best friend has recently called to invite me to his birthday party. He said we all have to come to the party. We are meeting after a long time so I don't want any of you to get late. Specially you both Aarohi and Dev, Cancel your meetings after 4. We have to leave for the party at 5 so you all get ready till then. And yeah they live in Jodhpur so you guys better not be late. It will take us approximately 3 hours to reach their house.”

We all nodded at him. Dadu seems so excited to meet his best friend after so long.

“It will be so much fun there and I will also get to eat so many sweets” He said, excitedly.
