I hate waiting for anyone.
When you are given a time you should follow it. It was decided a week ago that we will meet at my mansion at 8 a.m sharp but my dearest best friend- The Reyansh Mehra- is still not here.
I again looked at my watch which only made me more irritated.
He is 15 minutes late already.
"Where is he?" I asked Aarohi.
She looked up from her iPad and shrugged her shoulders which did nothing to calm my inner self.
"I will call him." She said, picking up my phone.
She put the call on the speaker and kept the phone in between both of us. It beeped a few times before we finally heard a ring.
After five rings he picked the call only to irritate me more.
"The person you are trying to contact is currently sleeping, please don't contact again" He said, yawning in between.
"You better be here in 30 minutes with all your luggage or you can kiss goodbye to Manali" I said blankly, not letting anyone know how annoyed I am at the moment.
There was silence for a second before we heard a thud and someone running in the background.
"You wouldn't do that with me Abhay" His voice came lowly like he was speaking from a distance.
"Try me" I said before ending the call.
I looked around to see everyone was busy in themself.
"He will be here in 30 minutes if not, we are leaving without him" I announced.
After exactly 30 minutes Reyansh's car entered the driveway while we were keeping our luggage in the car.
He got out with his stupid grin on his face and jumped on me.
"I knew you wouldn't leave without me," He said.
I pushed him off me which resulted in him falling on the ground on his butt.
"You are just on time because we were about to leave, now keep your bags in my car" I said, dusting the non-existent dust on my shirt and moved to the driving seat waiting for everyone else.
Aarohi and Reyansh will come with me in my car while the other six will come in other two cars.
Soon we were in the air and I was all ready to complete my incomplete beauty sleep from the last hectic week until my siblings decided to interrupt my plans.
"Ok everyone we have a plan" Avantika said, gaining everyone's attention.
"We have decided to play an interesting game since this flight is too long to spend time on our devices" Divya continued.
"What game?" Mr Agarwal asked his sister.
"Never have I ever!" They both said together.
I closed my eyes, not interested in any game until I felt hands poking my arms. I opened my eyes, being irritated. Only to come face to face with my dear girlfriend and my idiot best friend.
"You are coming to play with us," Reyansh said, grinning.
"Who said that?" I asked, making eye contact with him.
"I did," Came my girlfriend's voice, taking my attention towards her. Her smile tells me I have to do whatever she wants.
"Ok" I said nodding before walking towards the others.
We settled in the backside of the plane which is wide enough to accomodate all of us.
"Rules are simple. Anyone can ask any question and the ones who have done that thing will have to drink a sip from their glass. And the drink in your glass is just mocktail. Non-alcoholic. So let's start" Ayush explained the only rule of the game before they started asking basic questions.
"Never have I ever kissed anyone romantically" Divya said giggling.
Everyone paused on her question, deciding whether to drink or not.
I looked at Aarohi who was eyeing me but didn't pick up her glass after glancing at her brother who himself was freezed.
I was the first one to drink followed by Mr Agarwal leaving everyone shocked.
Avantika and Divya giggled while whispering something.
"Never have I ever been in a relationship" Ayush asked looking at me.
Again me and Mr Agarwal took a sip from our drink followed by Aarohi who threw a small smirk Reyansh's way before gulping.
If Mr Agarwal himself wouldn't have taken a sip he would definitely have confronted his sister from the looks he is giving her.
They all giggled before anyone could ask anything else Reyansh decided to jump in and save us all.
"Never have I ever cheated on a test/exam"
We played until everyone started excusing themself from the game.
I was sitting in the front looking out from the window when I felt someone sitting beside me. I turned to see Aarohi doing something on her iPad with earplugs in her ears.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Starting an audio book", she said looking at me, "Want to listen with me?"
"Sure" I accepted the earplug from her before inserting it in my right ear.
This is not a new thing for us. She likes reading and listening to books and I like to accompany her.
"Which book is it today?" I asked, looking towards her.
"Next To You by Hannah Bonam-Young" She replied, smiling at something.
"This book has been on my list for a long time now" she continued.
I don't need to ask her to know that she is excited to start this book.
The book started and within a moment we were both lost in it.
-One hour until I can leave. Well, maybe one hour and three minutes, so as to not appear rude. Midnight is the minimum expectation at a New Year's Eve party, after all. But the time beyond that is all mine.-

We finished more than half of the book before our flight landed.
It was crazy how we were listening to a couple in a book, who also was listening to a book by Charlotte Brontë.
"I am going to sleep a bit before we meet the tourist guide," Aarohi said, taking her room keys from the hotel management.
"Me too I am jet lagged" Reyansh said, yawning.
They both moved to their rooms leaving us behind to gather our keys. I stayed back to make plans with Mr Agarwal and the tourist guide that hotel arranged for us.
