"Oh my god you soo wouldn't have had to. If I knew you didn't like thai I would've suggested sushi!" Lexa exclaimed as she was met by the sight of Clarke carrying a heavy paper bag filled with ingredients.
"No, I love thai! But I love cooking, and I already feel bad enough for having you do this so I'm hoping a home cooked meal can make up for it.." She grinned shyly.
Lexa went up to Clarke to give her a hug welcome. She smelled awesome, clean, but cozy and warm. Lexa loved it. Clarke by the way looked STUNNING. The way those jeans hugged her like a glove, the blouse showed some stomach and a great bit of cleavage, revealing a little bit of a white lace bra.
Her beautiful, beautiful face with that adorable little freckle above her lip. The way her nose scrunched a little when she smiled and her cold hands with pretty French tip nails and gold rings, she'd paid attention to every detail and Lexa admired all of it.
"This is my place, it's not much but" she cut herself off, giving Clarke a quick kiss on her cold cheek from being outside, "but I think we'll have a good time". She winked, in some way it looked so innocent.
Clarke blushed from she tiny kiss. God, how was she supposed to handle.. well the other stuff.
"I love your apartment! I mean, gosh, the view!" Clarke looked outside, seeing the dark city through glowing windows and signs down below. Lexa lived on the 15th floor, so you can imagine the view. Although the atmosphere was way different from the one in Clarke's home, it felt weirdly comforting right away.
They walked together towards the kitchen and Clarke started placing her groceries on the marble counter.
"I should've asked. I'm sorry, do you like gnocchi? I know this really good dish with salvia, browned butter, lemon zest an-"
"It's almost like you're marrying me, I love gnocchi" she winked again.
Okay. So Lexa was getting her flirt on.. Come on Clarke, just for fun.
"Well perfect, just so you know, this is just gnocchi with no strings attached, you can't marry me after you try it." Clarke smiled.
Lexa chuckled, "Well if it's as good as you're letting on I might just have to steal you, I hope Bellamy doesn't take it personal"
Clarke laughed and started looking through the kitchen finding her supplies.
"Sorry. I'm no good help in the cooking part." Lexa admitted, feeling ashamed.
"It's alright, you're pleasurable company, that's all I really need." Clarke smiled genuinely, Lexa had never seen such a pretty smile before. How the heck did Bellamy pull this woman? Maybe today won't be so awkward after all.
Clarke was all up in her cooking, Lexa had put on some music and was dancing around behind her, occasionally they'd both sing, they really were good company to each other and even though it was under such weird circumstances, Clarke was happy about this new friend she'd found.
"So does Bellamy cook well? Bet meal times are always fun when they're around someone as passionate as you are."
They had opened the bottle and were drinking the wine, Lexa loved it and the feeling of warmth settling in her stomach and that familiar buzz wasn't unwelcome either.
"He doesn't care for it as much as I do. But he loves eating it." Clarke laughed.
"What a loser! He has all this and he's taking it for granted." Lexa said as she got behind Clarke and let her hands rest on Clarke's waist.
Clarke knew she was joking. She wasn't taken for granted.. Although she must admit how amazing it felt to have someone actually be around her and to feel this appreciated once in forever.
