The long corridor of the spacious entrance echoed with the footfalls of Amara and Eren as they trailed behind the respected guards taking heavy strides ahead. Standing at their right was Dhalis Zachary, who seemed to be sending warry glances towards Eren's figure every so often, but he remained silent-Most likely biting his tongue for Amara's sake.

Although she wouldn't blame him if he had spoken on the matter, considering the last she saw of him was during the unprompted council meeting. It had only been a few days since then, and word about Amara's proposal had officially made their rounds.

If she had to guess, that was most likely the reason the High Priestess agreed to this impromptu meeting. They hadn't spoken in over a month's time, given that the both of them lived with such busy schedules-But Amara found the timing more than a little coincidental.

Brushing aside her theory she brought her attention back to the nonsensical ramblings of Dhalis as she nodded and smiled mindlessly in response. He tipped his head back with a hearty laugh as she kept her pace even beside him. From the corner of her eye she caught the way Eren's gaze traced along the filled walls of the hallway.

Beautiful murals littered the grounds, along with statues that were just as gaudy. The High Priestess had an expensive taste when it came to all things. Art collecting in particular was a hobby of hers, that she kept up with frequently. The pieces were so exquisite, that even Amara couldn't help but be dazed at the sight, and she spent most of her childhood prancing along these very halls.

"It's stunning isn't it", Amara cut in with a grin.

Eren shifted his eyes to her figure, slightly startled by her voice as his mind wandered aimlessly. The momentary glimmer in his gaze hardened briefly, "It must have cost a fortune", He scoffed with a hint of bitterness seeping through his words. Despite his familial ties to royal blood, Eren and his mother were often left out of the equation.

He spent a lot of his childhood watching his mother work in order to provide as most of the royal saving their family were entitled to were only granted to Zeke and his mother, Dina before she passed. His father ended up with a small fortune from his late wife, but he was a calculated man who didn't like to throw money at every problem. It was about the only thing Eren respected his father for.

"You aren't wrong", Amara chuckled silently, pulling the brunette from his thoughts, "The Priestess enjoys the lavish things in life."

"That's an understatement", He muttered under his breath as they came to a sudden stop. Pulling their attention to the guards their eyes landed on a towering door decorated with gold accents and carvings. The white wash in color paired well with the soft vibrance of the colors splashed throughout each art piece-Although being as it was the only thing dressed in such a mundane hue it stuck out greatly.

Tossing his head to the neighboring doors he noticed how the others were a simple dark stained wood. Most likely symbolizing that this room held high importance given the intricacy of its decoration. The sound of a fist meeting the wooden exterior pulled Eren's attention back as a voice called out from the other side of the mysterious room.

"Your guests have arrived", Dhalis announced.

"Send her in", The voice commanded, causing the doors to be opened with haste.

Amara took a step forward as she made her way into the room, while Eren trailed behind her in a slow pace. Just like the rest of the manor, the room was polished from the floor to the ceiling. The walls were decorated with an intricate pattern that screamed wealth while silk blue curtains lined the windows. Crystal chandeliers took over the light fixtures while the room itself was furnished with the finest chairs and sofa beds.
