The next morning, Eren found Amara waiting for him in the east wing of the castle. She was just as cheerful as she had been the night before, her mood unchanged. He cast a questioning glance at Connie, who just responded with a lazy shrug, just as uncertain about her demeanor. Deciding not to do on it, Eren slipped his hand into his pockets and followed the soft sound of her footsteps down the corridor.

He would nod accordingly to her nonsensical ramblings, but his attention was placed elsewhere as thoughts of his family and friends clouded his mind. I need to reach out to them as soon as possible...The longer I'm gone the more they'll want to react towards my disapperance....It wasn't until he heard the words "Kiss me" that his gaze shot over to the the women. "What?" He stuttered with widened eyes.

"Oh, so you were listening", She mused, causing his face to fall into a dull expression.

"That was brutal even for you", Connie chuckled wildly at her ploy.

"You're a cruel woman", Eren muttered in contempt, "And pretty deceitful-How do you expect me to take you seriously with all the lies you tell?"

The grin peeking out behind his lips had Amara's features pull up as she spoke with fluttering eyes, "You'll know when the time comes."

"Doubtful", He huffed.

"Will a kiss fix your pouty appearance?" She quipped.

Letting out a breathless laugh he replied, "I won't fall for your tricks", he sneered in amusemen as he shoved her lightly to the side.

"I thought we promised to be truthful from here on out", She quipped with a playful glint in her eyes.

He didn't bother to respond, choosing to cast his attention elsewhere. Her laugh evaded the halls, further pulling him into her orbit. For a brief moment it felt as if they were the last two people on earth.

Everything around him had faded but her glimmering silhouette remained in his forefront. His expression was soft as his gaze stayed steadily on her profile. He took in the way her eyes flickered over every so often as she spoke. The way her hair laid perfectly against her shoulders, swaying softly with each step taken.

It was no surprise to him that she had a large group of loyal followers. She was an easy figure to rally behind, given her attitude and poise. He was positive that if had been born on this land there was no doubt he would have been one of them.

Shaking those thoughts from his head he spoke out, "So are you ever gonna explain what we're doing this morning? Or am I finally being led to my death?"

Her laughter settled as her face fell into a plain expression, "So you weren't listening after all", She accused with a slight click of her tongue.

Raising his hands in defense he said, "Hey don't blame me! I'm still adjusting to all of this, and it doesn't help that my living quarters are practically the horse stable."

Rolling her eyes she muttered, "You are not living in a horse stable."

"Could have fooled me", He mumbled.

"I'll look into getting you something better", She reasoned. Her head tilted to the side playfully as she continued, "Does the princess have any other requests?"

His lips widend into a grin, "Well if you're offering..."

A light scoff escaped her lips, "Alright enough fooling around", She shifted, "We have a very important meeting today."
