The hum of the night lightly coated the small warmly lit room that Amara and Eren found themselves occupying for the evening. Reaching to her side, the young Queen retrieved the leather bound book from Historia, choosing to place it between them—Both looking at its exterior with wonder, while they remained silent during the exchange.

Sliding it gently towards Eren, Amara nodded her head for him to begin his translation. Listening to the silent demand he carefully untied the ribbon that kept the casing together. Discarding it to the side he exposed the cover of the book, which was titled: The truth of this world through the eyes of a warrior. Amara kept a silent note of how it was the only set of words in the entire journal written in a familiar language to those in the Garden.

It's as if  the owner of this journal wrote it to ensure that a Garden resident would reach out to a marleyan warrior in order to decode the contents within.....What a clever author....

"This seems promising", She mused before taking a step back from her seat to pace around the small section beside them, "Are you sure you'll be able to translate the text?"

The creaking of the floor boards had him looking over his shoulder briefly before giving her an answer, "It'll take me a few hours but it shouldn't be a problem", He shrugged loosely.

"Great", She clapped with excitement, "I shall call for food and drinks to help occupy our time." Shifting away from the table she made her strides towards the door to relay the order to Connie and Marco who stood on guard this evening.

"If they send some of the strong stuff I might be able to drop an hour", He mumbled while beginning his work. A grin took over his features causing Amara to tilt her head back with a deep chuckle at his playfulness.

"I believe we have many options to choose from", She settled, "I'll make sure to request top shelf."

Letting out a low hum his eyes lifted to hers, "Buying my cooperation or spoiling me?" He teased.

The curl of his lip never faltered as he took in her retreating figure. Trailing his eyes down her attire he took in the light blue robe that covered her white satin dress. This one was different than the one she had worn during their trip around the Spring garden, as the material was much more loose fitting as it drooped over her shoulders. Although, even with its flowing material it still rested against her body perfectly, creating a desired silhouette.

A moment passed between them when he realized his gaze had stayed on her body for far too long before deciding to pull his attention away. With a slight cough escaping his lips he shook his head bashfully in an attempt to cool himself from the lingering thoughts that were sprouting in his mind. Fortunately for him, Amara hadn't noticed the embarrassment that clouded his features as she kept her back towards him during the exchange.

Letting out a breath she spoke, "You think so low of me", She muttered playfully, "If it gets you to work faster i'll spoil you all you want", She ended with a sly grin before peeking her head out of the door. Eren felt his jaw fall slightly at her words, causing him to squeeze his hands in order to calm his racing heart. Tilting his head to the ceiling he let out a harsh breath to settle himself. I'm so pathetic...

Amara leaned forward with interest as she watched the pulled expression on Eren's face while he traced over the pages before him. The leather bound book rested across the table as a pencil sat in his hand, scribbling down the translated foreign language that riddled the worn paper. Food and drinks had been passed out long ago, leaving them in a fluttering silence as they continued on with their meticulous work.
