"Argh! Don't do this to me!" Becky put her face in her hands. "It's too hard to choose."
Seth tapped his chest. "Well, the last time I checked, I'm your husband, so that might tip the scales in my favour a little bit?" Then he pulled Becky into a hug. "You don't have to watch if you don't want to. I know it'll be tough."
"Think of it this way," Sami advised. "It could be worse. It could be Seth versus me versus Kevin."
Becky glared at her dear friend. "Do you want to make your niece cry?"
"Actually, she'd probably just say NO! and stomp off to another room and not watch," Seth pointed out. "Someone is getting stubborn. I wonder where she gets it from." Seth grinned as he watched Becky look around innocently. People were always saying how much Roux resembled him and he loved it; he knew Becky loved it too, but he tried to remind her that their daughter had traits from both of them, good and bad.
"Oh, like you're not stubborn," Becky retorted, giving him a gentle shove before kissing his cheek. "Let me go take a poll of the locker room."
Sami raised a finger. "Yeah. How many times did you try to convince Becky to go out with you again? Because I seem to remember it being somewhere between a lot and this isn't quite stalking, but it's getting close."
"Hey, now. I wasn't >i>that bad. I was... persistent." Seth wrapped an arm around Becky's shoulders and looked down at her. "I'm pretty sure if I had actually been reaching stalker levels, you would have smacked me. And then Roman would have smacked me and asked me what the hell I thought I was doing—"
"And I would have, and Kevin, and Finn...." Sami started counting names off on his hands until he ran out of fingers. "Yeah, you wouldn't be having a fun time backstage."
Becky grinned up at her husband. "And Sami didn't even start listing the women. Imagine what Bianca would do to you with her braid!"
Seth rolled his eyes. "There's more people on this list than there are contenders for my title!" he groaned. It wasn't really a complaint, though. He was grateful Becky was so respected and loved backstage and he knew she deserved every bit of adoration she got. "Trust me, I know I'm pretty much on permanent probation." Then he leaned down and kissed Becky again. "But none of them love you more than I do."
"I like that answer." Becky rested her head on his chest and sighed. "I just wish I could watch this match without biting my nails the whole way through. Sami, you know you're like a brother to me. You deserve this so much...."
Sami put a hand over his heart. "Ginger Snaps for life. You've always been so great to me and Kevin, whether we were on the bottom or the top or anywhere in between."
"Always." Becky went over and hugged Sami before stepping back and laughing, fanning her face. "AAAH. This is going to be so hard. At least at Night of Champions, I was just a crying mess because I was happy," she chuckled. "I'll have to make sure I have my makeup off before your match. Tear it up out there, lads. It's going to be magical."
"That's the hope." Seth hugged her again, resting his head on hers. "Think we should warn Roux so she doesn't get upset?"
"Hm. Good point," Becky nodded. "I'll go call your mom and let her know." Then she stopped. "Wait. Does Kevin know?"
The look on Sami's face was almost comical. "I... think so? I thought I told him yesterday...."
Becky hugged him again too. "I'll text him just in case. I'm sure he knows, but it won't hurt. Maybe we can have a videochat viewing party and he can console me." Then she grinned at Seth. "Or maybe I should get one of those plush Pharaohs...."
