"Clara c'mon you have to go to class or you won't pass this term," Mattheo says from the end of my bed.

Over the weekend me and Mattheo spent a lot of time together. He helped me catch up on homework that we had in the same classes and made sure I knew how to do it. Although he might not seem like it, he is quite smart.

I groan and pull my blanket over my head. "Clara we didn't spend the whole weekend getting you caught up just for you to fall behind again," he says, pulling the blanket off. I look at him briefly and kick my legs over the side of the bed. He smiles and looks at the ground.

"I'll see you downstairs in about fifteen minutes?" he asks, tilting his head. I nod and massage my eyes.

I slowly get up and pick up my dress pants off the floor and slide them up over my legs. I pull on my green and black striped sweater and take a seat back on my bed. I pull on my white shoes and reach for my brush under the bed. I brush my hair out before looking in the mirror. I sit down on the floor looking into the body mirror and with just one glance and immediately something has to be done.

"Pansy, can I borrow your curling iron?" I ask with my back to her. "Uh yeah," she says quietly, "Here". I reach my hand back as she places it in my hand. I plug it into the wall and set it on the floor as I wait for it to head up. I begin applying concealer to my acne and blemishes and then just blush and highlighter to my inner eye.

"Clara, can I ask you a question?" Pansy asks as I pick up the curling iron. "What's up?" I ask. I begin curing my hair as she takes a seat back on her bed. "Out of all of us, why are you only really talking to and hanging out with Mattheo, I mean he is the main reason you and Fred fell apart." I sit silently and continue curling my hair. "Mattheo is the only one who I know is being honest with me," I say after a couple more moments in silence. "But clara I-"

"Pansy throughout mine and Fred's relationship you all made it clear that you didn't like Fred, not because he treated me a certain way but because it made our group look bad," I turn for a moment to look at her, "No matter how upset Mattheo was he never would talk bad about him to me because he just wanted to see me happy. Yes he said he thought he could do better and maybe he did dumb shit, but at least I know he wants me to be happy."

She sits silently before nodding and walking out of the room. I can't tell if what I said made sense to her or if she's mad at what I said. Regardless I finish curling my hair and brush my teeth before meeting Mattheo downstairs.

"Hey," he says as I walk down the stairs. "Good morning," I chime walking up to him. I make sure not to even look at anyone else in the group. "I think I'm gonna go to breakfast. Do you wanna come or do you just wanna meet up later?" I ask.

"Oh my gosh I'm starving let's go," Draco chimes, tossing his arm around me and attempting to lead me towards the door. Without saying a word I push his arm off me and look back at Mattheo. "Clara you can't just ignore us forever," Blaise snaps. I look over at him. Smile. And look back at Mattheo. "I can just meet you there," I say, patting his chest.

As I walk away from the group I can hear them loudly conversing. If I'm being honest I can't believe that I haven't talked to Draco. He's been my constant, my day 1, and I haven't even looked his way.

I make my way up the stairs when I hear Mattheo yell my name. I turn around and look back to see him running up the stairs. "I wanna walk with you," he says as he reaches the top of the stairs. "Yay," I say as we continue walking.

"You really need to talk to Draco," he spits out. "Mattheo," I groan. "Clara I'm serious," he says looking at me, "You guys have never gone more than a couple days without talking and it's been like a week and a half." I roll my eyes and look forward.
