"Ok everyone listen up," Snape barks at the beginning of class, "Today we'll be having a pop quiz." Everyone groans and he quickly cocks his head back at us, causing everyone to shut up.

"Professors, we have two weeks till break. Do we really need to be having quizzes?" Mattheo shouts. I smack him in the chest and he winces. With how we've both been behaving he's been dropping detention on us like none other. Usually he's on our side but the headmaster said if he doesn't start disciplining us, he will.

"Well Mr. Riddle if you're so concerned you should know you have a test next week," Snape says passing out the papers. "Uggghh Mattheo," I groan laying my head on the table. "What it's not my fault, the test was already planned," he exclaims.

"Silence," Snape says, slamming the rest of the papers on his desk, "You will have to the end of the class to get this done. If you fail to finish in time it will result in an automatic 0. Your time begins now."

I dip my quill into the ink and begin answering some of the questions. I typically answer all the ones I know, skip the ones I don't, and then come back to the other later. Mattheo taps my arms which leads me to scribble on my paper.

"Mattheo," I whisper through my teeth. He points to a question on the paper and I shake my head. In any other class I'd help him out but Snape is actually really strict and pays a lot of attention when it comes to things like this. And as I mentioned before he's not very happy with us.

Mattheo groans loudly and everyone turns to look at him, including Snape. I bring my left and up to cover my face and continue answering the questions.

"You have about 10 minutes left of class," Snape announces. I glance over at Mattheo and his jaw is on the floor, eyes wide. He's screwed.

I slide my paper a little more towards the middle of our table and lean back in my chair as I have already finished. He looks at the paper to me and I just look away. Hey if he's gonna cheat it's gonna have nothing to do with me. Well. Almost nothing.

Snape collects the papers and lets us mingle until the bell rings. I'm just sitting talking to Mattheo about our plans for the week when Hermione walks over to us.

"I can't believe you let him cheat," Hermione says bluntly, placing her hand on her hip. "I'm sorry?" I say placing my hands on the table and lean closer to her. "Don't act stupid Clara," she huffs. "I'm sorry I have no idea what you're talking about," I respond, intertwining my fingers. "Mattheo literally was copying his answers off your paper like 5 minutes ago," she says now getting a bit angry.

"Mattheo were you looking at my paper and copying my answers?" I ask turning over to him. He purses his lips together and shakes his head. "Bullshit stop lying," she says almost defensively, "Whatever, I'm just gonna tell Professor Snape." She looks at me and Mattheo all proud. "Mmm well it's your word against ours, and in the meanest way possible," I pause and look over at Snape, "He doesn't like you very much," I whisper.

Her jaw drops and she huffs back over to Ron and Harry. The bell rings and Pansy and Enzo quickly run to us from the front of the class.

"Clara oh my gosh I can't believe you just talked to Hermione like that," she says as we walk out of the classroom. I smile and shrug. "No seriously Clara, that was bad ass," Enzo says from behind Pansy. I smile as Mattheo tosses his arm around me and kisses my temple.

"Me and Enzo have a stupid project we failed in Mcgonagall's class so we have to go talk to her," Pansy says rolling her eyes. "Yikes, good luck," I respond as they walk away. Enzo waves and they disappear around the corner.

"I left a book in my dorm that I need for divination, will you walk back with me?" I ask looking up at him. "Ugh we just walked out of the dungeon up here and now you're gonna make me walk all the way back down there," he states with his head tilted back. "Fine fine fine I'll just go by myself," I say walking just far enough away so that his arm slides off my shoulders. "No no no I'm coming," he says slowly jogging to catch up.
