Finally it was weekend, maurey let her self out of the house very early in the morning, it was her free day to do whatever she likes. Humming a music to herself she walked into a mobile shop, they weren't open yet but she wasn't In a haste, taking out her purse she counted her money all over again,it was not complete. Frowning and tried to take her leave, the mobile shop opened.
" Josh, come and give me a helping hand". Josh reluctantly followed Mrs rose, " here, get a good wine for dinner we are expecting a guest", josh surprised "mom, are we celebrating anything, we rarely have guest", Mrs rose smiled patting him on the back, " run along, your curiosity will get answers in no time.
Maurey tiptoed to her room , but her dad called her back, " come and join us for dinner", forcing a smile" dad, am quite full, I just need to get some sleep". Mr Thorne eyebrows joined,"it would be a waste of food ,cos your own portion has been dished". She gave in , too tired to argue ,few strides to the dinning she took her seat.
Few minutes later, nobody was eating, the impatient showed on josh and maurey face ,josh let it out," dad , are you sure that our guest is still coming", Mrs rose chipped in " why not darling, he's a very busy man let's just wait few more minutes, maurey was feeling sleepy she thought,"Why are we expecting a guest this late, well it's non of my business", pushing her seat back she stood to leave but the guest arrived.
Laughter of the guest, Mr Thorne and Mrs Thorne rose filled the house they were chattering what maurey didn't care to listen but her mind still went back to how the pot bellied man was gazing at her lustfully and her dad said something about her being the one, she was jerked out of her thought by a caresss at her back, someone hugged her from behind, she struggled to let her self free but the opponent was stronger he bent his head over hers roughly he kissed her, maurey reached for something and when her hand came across a knife , the opponent let her go, maurey shot red blooded at him," josh , what's wrong with you", josh smiled devilishly "you knew I always have soft spot for you but you always ignore me, they will marry you off soon", he left
