she was the one who made him feel human but she wasn't an ordinary girl she was the youngest Salvatore sibling and she was more than just an ordinary vampire and no one would want to get on the wrong side of Cassie Salvatore.

The next morning, Cassie was sat on her own lost in her thoughts, her bloodshot eyes stared at the hot chocolate she was making for Damon as she had barely slept last night as all she could think about was how Rose had died as she didn't deserve what happened to her as she died to protect Damon from that werewolf Jules. She knew that her brother doesn't like to express his feelings and while he might not of loved Rose it was clear that he cared about her deeply and that her death did affected him as she was the only person beside Cassie who knew who the real Damon Salvatore was.
Cassie made her way up the staircase towards Damon bedroom about to barge in like he normally does with her but she hesitated as she didn't know if he was decent or not and that is definitely not something she wished to see, " Damon! Are you decent?" Cassie called out knocking on his door only for the raven haired vampire to open the door raising his brows at his sister moving to the side letting her in, " Yes, Cassie, I'm decent"
The blonde vampire rolled her eyes at him shooting him an unimpressed look and resorted, " You Know, this is something you should learn to do. Knock before entering my room one day I might just be indecent. Anyway, I made you my special hot chocolate" Cassie smiled handing him the hot chocolate causing an amused grin to appear on his lips wrapping his arm around her shoulder and sarcastically questioned," what would I ever do without you?"
"Probably crash and burn" Cassie shrugged her shoulders nudging him playfully before a look of concern appeared on her face, " I know this is probably a stupid question, but how are you doing?" She questioned causing Damon to let out a sigh as he was about to respond when his eyes landed on the Tv where a reporter was talking about the couple that Rose had killed when she was hallucinating after she had gotten bit by a werewolf.
" The authorities believe last night's assailant may be linked to the missing campers and park ranger who have yet to be found, as well as twenty five year old Jessica Koenig, reported missing this morning. The sheriff's department says investigations are pending and no further comment will be made. In related news Mayor Lockwood spoke earlier today..."
Cassie glanced over at her brother who sighed in frustration looking away from the TV, " I'm fine, Cass. You don't have to worry about me." Damon kissed his sisters head before walking back in the bathroom causing the blonde vampire to let out a breathe before walking out of Damon room and made her way over to Stefan room knocking on the door, " Stefan, I'm worried about Damon" she called out walking into the room.
Stefan frowned placing his journal on the bedside table looking up at his sister who sat on the end of his bed, " why? What has he done now?" He curiously inquired causing Cassie to scoff in disbelief shaking her head, " nothing. After everything that happened with Rose yesterday... he's bottling up his feelings you know what he's like. I know he's suffering but he won't let anyone in it isn't good for him to go though what he went through and not feel anything"
