After leaving the Salvatore boarding house, Cassie made her way through Mystic Falls woods walking beside Damon and Stefan. The blonde Salvatore girl had decided to help her brothers get the moonstone from Kathrine as she was curious about the sun and moon curse and how a little rock could be the centre of it.
Cassie still wasn't sure herself how she knew the original vampire but she had definitely had seen him before and wanted to find out the truth especially as she had a gut feeling that it had to do with the attractive curly haired man that was in her dreams last night. But while Cassie had no idea what was going on, she knew that she was connected with this guy as when he pulled her into a tight embrace she couldn't help but feel sparks which confused her as she's never had a feeling like this before.
"So, are you gonna tell us what Katherine meant by what you are?" Damon curiously questioned turning to glance at his sister who hummed in acknowledgment before shaking her head a no muttered, " Uh-huh. I'm good. It's nothing to worry about. You know what Katherine is like she's a shit talking bitch and nothing she ever says is true"
Stefan scoffed sending his little sister a disbelief look and stated, " Yeah, like we're going to believe that. You're hiding something from us and we want to know what it is. Cassie, whatever it is you can trust us you know we will do everything in our power to protect you" Cassie rolled her eyes in irritation as she let out a heavy sigh and replied, " I don't need you to protect me. I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself. Trust me, even if I did tell you the truth you wouldn't believe me anyway.It's my burden to carry - ever since I've turned into a vampire"
Cassie trailed off with a thoughtful expression on her face causing Damon and Stefan to frown in puzzlement but before either of the brothers question their sister anymore Bonnie walked over towards the three Salvatore siblings with an apologetic expression on her face and called out, "Sorry I'm late. I had to grab the grimoire from home."
"Jeremy couldn't take the pressure, Huh?" Damon teased with a taunting smirk on his face only to groan when Cassie elbowed him in the stomach with an innocent smile planted on her lips. " He said he'd be here" Bonnie replied sending a glare towards the oldest Salvatore shrugging her shoulders casually.
Bonnie and Stefan began to descend down the stairs to the entrance of the old Fell church, with Cassie and Damon following after them when the sound of the blonde vampire phone went off causing her to grab Damon's arm stopping him as she answered the unknown number knowing exactly who it will be.
"Not a good time, Rose" Cassie spoke rolling her eyes in frustration knowing that the Gilbert teen had probably done something to endanger her life once again. "Don't be angry with me." Rose responded anxiously over the phone causing Damon to frown in confusion as he listened to Rose voice with his vampire hearing.
