Sitting at the grand piano is a man in a dark blue coat with white ruffles at the cuffs and a white hanker-chief tucked neatly into the collar. His brown hair is a mess, but his glasses are very clean where they sit on the edge of his nose. He looks back at you and then you realize that he doesn't even have sheet music for the music piece. You quickly look back at the music book and continue to play.

Mr. Minty, hearing the music, comes out from his office to watch you two play. He smiles and closes his eyes, enjoying how nice the music sounds. The electric guitar is turned down enough that it doesn't overpower the piano and the piano is being played to flow with the higher and lower guitar notes. When the piece comes to an end, he wipes away a tear and applauds you both.

"Lovely playing my dears, simply lovely!" He pats you on the shoulder. "You should get this one, I know you just bought an appartment, but this guitar belongs with the amp and the player." He smiles.

"Oh, thanks for the suggestion Mr. Minty, but I'm afraid that I can't afford this right now. I also couldn't play this in the appartment, the other tennants would go insane." You reply.

"How about I put it on hold for you then hmm?" Mr. Minty asks and glances back at the piano player as he starts playing Chopin.

"You would do that for me?" You ask, your eyes brightening up with joy at the thought.

"Of course, anything for my favourite musical student. I'll go write a note down right now!" He ruffles your hair and walks back to his office.

"You are his student?" A male voice asks you.

You freeze and don't respond, a tingly feeling going across the back of your neck and a fuzzy feeling floating through your mind.

No.

Just no.

There was no way that man was your soulmate. How are you going to respond to him? You can't just say, oh yeah, I'm your soulmate nice to meet you.

"Well? Are you?" The accented voice asks again, it sounds a bit priss and proper and adding it to your panic, you get annoyed.

"No, he's a chimney sweep!" You say sarcastically and spin around to face the piano player.

He stares at you for a moment, a hand flying to his upper arm as his eyes go wide. A strand of his hair falls in his face but he doesn't react, he just stares. That's when you notice who he is and you join him in staring. Like your day could get any better. He's a nation, the nation of Austria to be more percise. There was no way you were going to let this be a thing.

He suddenly stand up off of the piano bench and clears his throat. He dusts off his coat despite there being no dust on it and pushes the piano bench back into place. He walks over to you and holds out his hand. "I'm Roderich, although I think you must already know who I am."

You nod, not saying anything. We stand there awkwardly as he waits for you to introduce myself. "Oh, I'm uh Y/N."  You say, your feelings of annoyance starting to, very strangely, disapate.

"Well then Y/N, I do believe that you are my soulmate." He says, scratching the back of his neck.

"Y-yeah." You say, feeling lightheaded and shocked.

"Are you-are you alright?" He asks you when he sees your face getting pale.

As a reply, you go crashing towards the ground. He quickly catches you, unprepared though, and you both fall to the floor.

"Oh dear." He says taps your shoulder, trying to wake you up.

At the sound of crashing glass, he looks up to see two of the thugs who had been chasing him earlier. "Oh dear!" He repeats, this time with more panic.

He gets up to leave, but then his gaze falls on you and he sighs. He weakly picks you up and with surprising speed and strength, bolts out the back door of the store. Spotting a car, he places you in the passenger seat and jumps in the driver's seat. He has never driven a car before, and that isn't his plan either. He ducks down under the window, hoping that the thugs don't see him. They don't he and he lets out a sigh of relief.

You let out a groan and sit up, rubbing your forehead. First you notice that you are in a car, and then you notice that Roderich is sitting next to you in said car.

"Are you alright? You fainted earlier and I am worried for your health." He says, looking at you fondly.

"Why-why are we in a car?" You ask, not caring to answer him.

He blushes and rubs the back of his neck again. You figure that it must be his nervous trait. "Well, there were these men chasing after me and I couldn't just leave you there so I took you with me to hide." He explains.

"Oh." You answer and look out the window then back at him. You suddenly do a double take as the door opens and a horrible smelling man grabs you by the arm and throws you out of the car.

Roderich looks as though he doesn't know what to do for a moment before an angry look crosses his face. "Hey! You can't just throw a lady around, that is not proper!" He looks at you with concern as you wince and stare at the skin scraped off of the palms of your hands from hitting the pavement.

The thug looks from Roderich and then you as he realizes what is happening. "Oh! She's your soulmate!" The thug laughs.

He grabs your arm and roughly forces you to your feet. He wraps his tick arm around your neck and hold you close to his body. You almost gag at the smell. He smells like he had a thousand different alcoholic bevrages and then threw them all up. He brings a knife up to your stomach and rests it there.

"Get in the truck Mr. Fancy Pants, or I'll dye her hoodie red for free." He laugh and gestures at his truck.

Roderich looks desperate and quickly sits down in the back seat of the truck where two more thugs sit on either side of him. The thugs holding me sits in the passenger seat, pulling me in with him and the driver starts up the engine and drives away.
