Deffinetly not listening to Rammstein while writing this...
The mud is almost like a suction cup as you walk through it. Every time you take a new step, your boots sink into the mud and it takes effort to lift them out of it. It sounds terrible too. All the squelshing sounds are really annoying.
"Joey!" You yell again.
You are still on his trail. His footprints have been filled with water now, but they are still there and it is starting to creep you out. You have no idea why he walked into the Marsh, he was only supposed to get water samples from the river, not here.
The tall plants make every turn you take unknown and you can feel your adrenaline pumping. Joey owed you big time for this stunt.
A sudden sound has you freezing in your spot and listening. The sound doesn't repeat, but you are certain it came from behind you. Your heart beats faster as the idea that someone may be behind you right now flood your mind. You continue to stay in your spot before whipping around.
Nothing.
You glance around suspiciously and then suddenly notice that your feet feel wet. You look down to see your boots have sunken into the mud and aren't visable anymore. The water in the mud must have sunken in through your boots. Great. You hated having dirty feet. Whenever you would rub your toes together you could feel if any dirt was on them and it was not a pleasant. feeling.
You tug your feet up, trying to free them from the thick mud. It has a horrible suction power, but you manage to get them both free. You'll have to power hose your boots after this little adventure.
You look up and see two eyes staring at you.
Instinct takes over and you step back from the eyes, and scream. Nothing happens though and the eyes keep staring at you unblinkingly. Then you realize it was just the plants playing tricks on you. They were in such a position in your point of view that they looked like eye when they were really just cattails and grass.
Your dominate hand fly to over your heart and you let out a huffed laugh. "Come on Y/N, it's just plants...calm down." You tell yourself and continue walking on through the mud.
The silence is nerve-racking. The birds are either not here, or not making any sound, a sign of them hiding. You know they are probably just hiding from you and Joey before you, but it's very creepy.

"Hey Joey, you get the water samples?" Jenna greets Joey when he walks over to the group with several containers of water.
"Oh yeah, this stuff is going to be loaded with bacteria when I look at it under the microscope." He stretches and looks at the body now turned three bodies. "Wasn't there only one body before?"
"The body movers found two more under the original one. They look odd but no one can figure out why." Jenna says and looks at the bodies again.
"Well, this one has two right hands." Joey points at one with his foot.
"Wait what?" Jenna looks at Joey then at the body. "Holy shit! You're right!" Her eyes land on the other one. "This one has two left hands!"
"Not just two left hands...look at how the arm is place, the whole thing is the left arm." Joey looks puzzled.
"Are you saying that...that someone...you know..." Bob tries to get the words out.
"Cut up bodies and then put them back together again with the wrong parts?" Jenna finishes for him.
"Yeah." Bob huffs. He was about to place his hand over his mouth when he realized that it was in a glove covered in gore and mud. "Well then, do I move these ones or wait for Y/N to see them first?"
