Throughout the night my focus is not on work. By 0100 the feeling of being watched goes away as the wheels on pavement go quiet the further away they get. I had turned just in time to see him vanish around the corner. A glimmer of gold trailing behind him. He stayed longer than last night. Though Sideswipe wasn't here to carry him away. A part of me wonders where the silver twin is. Maybe he has already passed out from his training today. Either way, there isn't much to find out about me when I'm doing my job. I sit at a computer all night, watching cameras or looking for information people may have leaked on the internet. But even after he left, my mind still wouldn't stay on target. Work is the last thing on my mind.

As my work night comes to an end, I'm the first one ready to leave. Which is unusual for me. I'm usually the last to leave. I like to take my time. There isn't anything I need to rush to. I don't need to sleep; I don't have anyone to call. But this time I practically ran out of the hangar. The conversation with Sideswipe still lingering in my mind and hope for today surfaces. My fast pace surprises a golden plated mech as he rounds the corner. A part of me thought he would still be a sleep after staying up so late. I jumped back in surprise and his wheels squealed to a stop.

"Why the rush?" He asks as the look of surprise washes from his face.

"I'm not rushing." I say defensively, narrowing my eyes at him.

"You were rushing. You normally walk at a leisurely pace unless it's an emergency." He states like it's a fact.

"Why am I not surprised you know that?" I wonder, putting my hands on my hips.

"Like I've told you. I know more than you probably want me to know." He leans down and whispers to me, a small smirk riding on his lips.

"Yeah, I've noticed." I lean back on one leg and cross my arms.

"Meet you there?" He asks raising a metal eyebrow. Though I feel he already knows the answer.

"Is this going to become a thing?" I ask, a small smile playing on my own lips.

"Maybe." He answers trying not to smile, looking away from me for a second

After that he races off. I watch him go out of the hanger. Then he jumps, transforms and is gone. This feels like a race. I huff, but, I take the challenge and move my feet. I walk quickly, maneuvering around soldiers heading to their stations. Most look at me in surprise. They move out of the way, and I continue. I get into my room and slam the door shut behind me. I wait a few moments, making sure no one is going to bother me. Then I jumped to the cliff. The ocean breeze hits me as I land. Then I hear it. The roar of a high-powered engine. Gravel and dirt kicking up behind speeding tires. The morning sun shining brightly against his metallic paint. He stops short, transforming and landing on two wheels in front of me. His gaze on me, like he's found his prey.

"I thought you were mad at me?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest, taking in his predatory optics.

"Oh, I still am, but I have realized, besides Sideswipe, you are the only one I talk too." He admits, shrugging his shoulders, glancing away from me for a moment.

"You don't talk to the other Autobots?" I question, raising an eyebrow.

"Not really. They don't exactly like me." He looks to the ground, taking his wheel and kicks a rock. Like he's a small child whose been caught doing something wrong.

"How come?" I back up to the tree and sit down, not taking my eyes off him.

He moves a little closer, his eyes looking around. Then he scrunches his face, becoming increasingly irate. "They are a bunch of sparklets. They can't handle an opinion. If you don't agree with them, you're wrong. They are weak. It's no wonder why Deceptions can live longer. They can take a beating better. Sideswipe and I always have to lead the way. We don't die as easily." He rants, using his servos and everything.
