This is the most peaceful I've ever seen Sunstreaker. For once, his processer isn't plaguing him with the pain and trauma I know he's endured. He's never talked about it, but I know it's there. You can see it in his optics. He's more human than he would ever admit. I only hope he learns to release that hurt he has built up. To finally let go and live. Not as a killing machine. To be more than that. My hand runs through his hair. Without waking, he snuggles closer to me, if that is even possible.
The sun is slowly beginning to rise. It's light, making my room start to glow oranges and yellows. I peek up slightly to my clock and notice it's almost 0630. I wonder when Sideswipe will wake. A part of me is worried he may freak out with both of us gone, but I have no way to contact him, and I can't leave without Sunstreaker moving. I am in a pickle. Maybe Sunstreaker left him a note. I lay there thinking of all the possibilities, all awhile I just start to feel the pair of eyes on me. If I wasn't weighed down, I may have jumped.
"Good morning." I smile, looking down at him.
"What were you thinking about?" He asks, a frown lay upon his delicate features.
"Many things. I've had a lot of time to think." I reply, but if he could, he frowns even more at my answer.
"What about right now?" The low growl he lets out vibrates through my chest.
"I am worried Sideswipe will be upset to find us both gone." I say honestly.
"I left him a note." He relaxes into me again. I barely realized he was tensed up.
"I'm assuming he will come here then once he wakes?" I ask.
"I have no doubt." He pauses and his eyes become distant for a moment. "Scratch that, he's on his way."
I start to get up, but Sunstreaker holds me back. "Let me go unlock the door."
"You don't need to. Even though we aren't ghosts. We can also pop into places with our holoforms." He says with a sly smile.
"Then why do you guys knock?" I can't hold back the shock from this new information.
"We do have some respect." He gives me an offended look and places a hand on his heart, as if I wounded him with my words. "Do you think so little of us?"
"You and Sideswipe don't exactly follow boundaries." I smirk.
"That hurts, Hart." He voices, then pushes me playfully.
"You guys are cuddling!" A hushed angry voice resonates around my room, "That's so not fair."
We both look up to Sideswipe who has his arms crossed and is clearly pouting. I try to hold back my laugh.
"I'm not sure how you'll fit but come on." I wave for him to come over.
A smile lights up on his face and he rushes over. He climbs on top of us, his head resting against my chest and his arms around both of us. Not sure this is what I meant, but it doesn't bother me. Perks of being a ghost. Though, Sunstreaker doesn't look comfortable at all. I almost feel sorry for him. Then again, he sighs and lets it happen.
"For a ghost, you are comfy." Sideswipe says contently and snuggles closer.
"Well, I'm holding myself together right now. I will need to get up soon though." I say, rubbing Sideswipe's back.
"Why? We can lay here all day." Sideswipe's voice is muffled against me.
"She needs to go to the cliff." Sunstreaker grunts out, answering for me.
