Prologue

Hi. I'm Ren Everflame. I'm 14 and I'm pretty much going to be this age forever. Why? I'm part digimon and part human. That's why. My dad was a digimon and fell in love with my mother, miku hatsune. I took dads last name. Of course, I do look human, but I have long rabbit-like ears and a small bushy tail. I look like a mix of terriermon and lopmon with terriermon's ears, but brown instead of white. I have a cottony white tail too. Though, I usually wear a green dress that stops mid thigh. It's a bright watermelon pink and progresses to minty green in an ombré style. It's strapless and has a small pearly fanny pack. It holds my green and pink digivice and deep purple iPhone.

Anyways, I'm walking with my mom and I watch a couple adorable digimon walk by with their masters. I'm wearing a hoodie and all my hair and ears are tucked into my turned up hood. I notice people watch me, giving me looks as if I was an ominous killer or something. I'm not surprised. No one but my mom and dad know I exist. So people wouldn't link my face to theirs. I turned a corner I saw my mom turn into but when I turned the corner, she wasn't there. I use my platinum headset (mic) I got for my first birthday to try to reach her. It works like a Bluetooth thing too. "Mom?" I call into the headset. I wait a few minutes, but nothing except the low buzz of static. Aww. I look around to find someone who I could ask for directions or something and I notice a group of kids with their digimon. "Excuse me, sir, have you seen Miku Hatsune come by here?" I ask a boy several inches taller than me. I tugged on his shirt and ask again. "Excuse me! Have you seen Miku Hatsune around here?" I ask a little louder.
