Chapter Seventeen

Taehyung's POV

Kim Taehyung, known for his magnetic stage presence and unparalleled pole-dancing skills, found himself in an unexpected predicament. Lily, a girl he had recently noticed at one of his performances, caught him mid-dance. Panic gripped him as he pondered over the potential misunderstandings that could arise from this encounter.

Taehyung couldn't shake off the embarrassment of being seen in such an intimate performance, wondering if Lily would misconstrue his artistry. The thought of her getting the wrong idea gnawed at him, leaving a lingering unease.

And because he's happy a woman like Lily chose him out of everyone to have this deal with. Even though she has "blackmail" content in her hands she still chose him. Plus this is his chance at getting to know her because he's interested in her more than he thought he would.

With Lily, Taehyung embarked on the journey of crafting an enemies-to-lovers narrative. They concocted a story of colliding cars, stolen glances, and a commissioned painting that marked the beginning of a tumultuous love story.

Amidst their fictional romance, Taehyung couldn't deny the growing warmth in his heart. Lily, too, seemed to be affected by the charade, blushing at his suggestion of endearing nicknames. When she playfully called him "Tae Tae Love," a teasing smile played on Taehyung's lips, his heart skipping a beat.

In a tender moment, Taehyung convinced Lily to sing for him privately. The atmosphere crackled with the electricity of unspoken emotions as she sang one of his favourite songs. Her voice, a melody that resonated with his soul, left him in awe and wonder.

As the night came to a close, Taehyung walked Lily to her car, their steps in sync with the unspoken connection they had forged. With a parting wink and a playful "I'll see you around, baby," Taehyung left Lily with a heart full of joy. Little did she know, his happiness mirrored hers, both secretly yearning for the lines of their fictional tale to blur into something real.

Lily's POV

As Lily entered her apartment building, still buzzing with the excitement of the night, she couldn't wait to share the chaos with her best friend, Y/N. Hastily, she dialled Y/N's number, and when Y/N picked up, Lily took a deep breath.

"Hey, Y/N, you won't believe what I did," Lily exclaimed.

Y/N, always ready for the unexpected, replied with a curious tone, "Alright, hit me. What absurd or chaotic thing did you do this time?"

With a mischievous grin, Lily spilled the beans, "I asked Taehyung to be my boyfriend."

The revelation hit Y/N like a surprise wave, causing her to choke on whatever she was eating. Between coughs, Y/N managed to say, "Wait, what? Are you serious?"

Lily, slightly concerned for her friend's well-being, asked, "Are you okay? What happened?"

Y/N, still recovering, replied, "Are you okay? You're the one dating the man you wanted to run over a couple of weeks ago."
