As the golden rays of the midday sun streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room, you found yourself in that blissful state between dreams and reality. The gentle rustle of leaves outside and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore provided the perfect backdrop to your peaceful slumber. Exhausted from the adventures of the past two days, your body clung to the comfort of the bed, unwilling to break free from its embrace.
In your dreamlike state, you thought you heard your name being called, distant yet familiar, echoing through the corridors of your mind. But before you could fully grasp its meaning, a sudden interruption shattered the tranquillity. Meghan's voice, smooth as silk yet mischievous in its intent, cut through the haze of your dreams like a knife.
"WAKEY WAKEY!" she exclaimed, her voice laced with playful menace.
You groaned, shifting slightly in bed, not quite ready to abandon the warmth of your cocoon. "Just five more minutes," you mumbled, the words barely escaping your lips.
Meghan's laughter filled the room, a melodious symphony that danced around you. "Girl, I ain't your mom waking you up for school. Get up, we've got things to do!"
Reluctantly, you rolled out of bed, your limbs heavy with sleep as you struggled to fully awaken. "What do we have to do?" you asked, your voice still laced with drowsiness.
"We've got a lot to do," Meghan replied, her tone laced with determination. "Today's the last day of the trip, remember? We gotta clean up and get ready for Hoesok's yacht party."
Hoesok, ever the organizer, began doling out instructions like a seasoned dance instructor, his enthusiasm contagious as he rallied everyone to prepare for the evening's festivities.
"Oh, right," you muttered, the fog in your brain slowly beginning to dissipate. "So, what are we doing?"
Meghan shot you a look of mock exasperation, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "You mean, what are YOU doing? Me and Joon already took care of our part – we've got the food and drinks covered."
Before you could respond, your eyelids began to droop once more, the lure of sleep pulling you back into its embrace. "Y/N!" Meghan's voice cut through the air like a sharp command, snapping you back to attention.
You blinked, suddenly aware of your surroundings as you struggled to shake off the remnants of sleep. "Meghan?" you mumbled, rubbing your eyes in confusion. "How are you not hungover?"
Meghan let out a defeated sigh, shaking her head in amusement. "Joonie got me some hungover soup," she explained, a hint of pride in her voice. "I'm all sobered up now."
"Good, good," you replied, nodding in approval. "So, what am I supposed to do again?"
A mischievous grin tugged at Meghan's lips as she pointed towards the scattered belongings around the room. "You can start by cleaning up and packing up," she said, her voice filled with anticipation for the day ahead.
With a newfound sense of determination, you headed to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. The cool water from the tap woke you up as you washed your face and brushed your teeth, dispelling the last remnants of sleep. Pulling your hair into a casual ponytail, you glanced at yourself in the mirror, ready to face the tasks at hand.
Dressed in a v-cut corset-style top paired with jeans and a simple gold necklace, you felt a surge of energy. The cabin awaited your touch, and you were ready to transform it into a space worthy of a memorable farewell party.
As you began cleaning, Meghan was already in the final stages of tidying up her part of the cabin. You focused on picking up scattered items from the floor, cleaning the mattress, sheets, and diligently making the bed. The room slowly transformed, shedding its dishevelled appearance in favour of order and cleanliness. With each task completed, a sense of accomplishment filled the air.
