yall are going to get tired of me saying this but uh
i've decided that i'm going to completely revamp this story! i feel like it was both too drawn out and too rushed, and apparently i'm not that good at making emotional moments hit hard and seem not out-of-nowhere. so, i'm considering the last chapter the end of this version of the story, and i'm going to completely rewrite it.
i want to keep a similar plotline going but i just want to write it out in a better way. this was an unpolished draft that i hadn't even written up an outline for, which would explain why things were so all over the place.
i promise you guys that this book will come out a lot better once i get a proper outline written up and actually get the storyline the book is named after introduced.
i'm changing the title of this wattpad story from 'the lesser bird's kingdom' to 'the first edition' just to clarify that this story is separate from the actual polished novel, which i will be publishing on amazon when it's complete.
i started working on this story february 10, 2023. in total, i've spent a little under one month working on the story. i worked on it off and on, and used a counter on my original document to show how many days i had actually spent working on it.
this version of the story is ending at 46,528 words across 11 chapters. the final finished version of this book, the rewritten one, should be around 80,000 words and 20 or so chapters.
i hope you guys enjoyed this story for what it was, and are excited to see a version of it that is much better written! i'm most likely going to get working on it the day that this is being posted.
