Tanjiro couldn't sleep that night. He was worried.
What if he didn't remember anything? He only knows his name because of what Nezuko and Takeo called him. He knew his two siblings names because of what they called each other. But other than that it was blank.

So instead of sleeping, he decided to wait for Tengen to get back. He waited for hours before he saw the white haired man return. He was honestly surprised to see the demon boy on the engawa (I think that's what it's called), to say the least.

"Shouldn't you be asleep?" Tengen knelt down to Tanjiro's height. Tanjiro shook his head.

"So why are you awake?" Tanjiro shrugged. He was swinging his legs above the ground. "Come on, I'll take you to bed." He picked up Tanjiro and carried him back to his siblings.

"And go to bed." Tanjiro curled himself up into a ball and stayed by Nezuko and Takeo's side. To him they were strangers but he'd still protect them.

He woke up to find his siblings gone. They were outside with Tengen, training.

"I don't think my breathing style is fit for you..." he said to Nezuko. "I can get Rengoku to try with you, what do you think?" She smiled and he laughed. "I'll take that as a yes then." He put his hands on his hips and went back to trying to teach them a proper stance.

Several hours later Nezuko finally stopped getting hit in her blind spots when she couldn't preform a proper battle stance. She felt bad for her little brother though. No matter how much he was taught he just wouldn't get it. Until Tanjiro helped. But then again he only ever listened to Tanjiro.

After several months they finally mastered a proper battle stance. Now for the tough part.

Nezuko: "Wait did you just say that we're just now on the hard part?!?"

Me: "Yes."

Nezuko: "WE SPENT MONTHS LEARNING THAT!"

Me: "Nezuko, my child... it's for your plot armor, now..."

"Stop breaking the fourth wall."

Anyways

Rengoku was teaching her flame breathing while Tengen struggled to get Takeo to listen to what he said. The boy showed his clear hatred towards the man but Tengen refused to give up on him.

"That boy has a a burning spirit!" Rengoku yelled, "I'm sure once he gets the hang of it he'll be an amazingly talented demon slayer, just like you Tengen!" Rengoku cheered for his friend. He had a tsuguko to who was actually training with Nezuko at the moment. Mitsuri said she wanted to meet the girl. In fact—

—when she first saw Nezuko she engulfed her in a hug. Nezuko felt herself blush because the woman shoved Nezuko's face into her chest by accident.

But now Nezuko sees how gracefully she moves. Quite an extraordinary woman. Talented, flexible, pretty, strong, kind. She reminded her of her mother.

Takeo and Tengen kept bickering. It was about something other than training though. "I'm telling you I can keep him safe from other demon slayers!"

"I still think—"
"Takeo, maybe you should drop it." Nezuko chimed in. She didn't like to see the two fight. "Your agreeing with him?!" She sighed. "I'm agreeing with the voice of reason. He's counted all the factors and can protect him much better than we ever could."
"But!-"
"Just trust me on this one, okay?" She scoffed but slowly nodded.

What were they talking about? What to do with Tanjiro once Nezuko and Takeo become demon slayers. Takeo suggested he go on missions with him or Nezuko but Tengen shut it down. He said it would be much safer for Tanjiro to stay with his wives—

—Or go on missions with Tengen. This started a feud between the two. Tengen honestly wanted to get to know his so- he means this demon. But Takeo doesn't like the idea of leaving his brother alone with Tengen. A so called 'pillar' of the demon slayer corps. Others call them Hashiras— which means the exact same thing.

Whatever, he didn't trust this man with his brother.

Tanjiro ran up to Nezuko because he could hear the yelling. He looked up at her with a questioning look.

She kneeled down to pick him up. "It's fine Tanjiro. These to idiots just couldn't make up their minds." She said pridefully before walking away. The two felt hurt so they stopped screaming at each other. Nezuko found it funny how easily she could hurt their egos.

Tengen crow came back with something the siblings haven't heard before. "Caw caw! Meeting at the Ubuyashiki estate! Caw! All Hashiras are to report! Caw!" Tengen stood up and momentarily stood still. "Do you guys wanna come?"
"Wait— really?!" Nezuko beamed with excitement. She knew Rengoku was a pillar and the man had started to grow on her as an older brother. Of course— nobody could replace Tanjiro in her heart!

"I'm good." Takeo responded. "Guess it's just you Nezuko. We'll be back later!" He said. Nezuko put her brother down next to Takeo and gave him a kiss on the forehead. A weird action considering Tanjiro doesn't remember her— but a loving one nonetheless.

Once they got there a man covered in scars asked, "Who's that?" He pointed at Nezuko. She felt relieved Rengoku had brought Mitsuri, but she was still nervous.

"She's one of my flashy tsuguko of course!" She was relieved when Tengen answered for her. "Nezuko Kamado!"

He starred again her for a bit and scoffed. "Why's she so fucking ugly?" Nezuko saw the offended looks on Mitsuri and Rengoku's faces. They thought she was adorable. But that isn't what ticked her off. Tanjiro had said she was a beautiful girl. Nobody, and I mean, NOBODY, doubts the words of her Onii-Chan.

"I don't think you can be talking, when you look like that." She giggled after she said so. Sanemi was shocked. Even more so when Kanae stifled a laughed. The only three people she knew had proud looks on their faces.

"Tch! Whatever!" He turned his head away. A man walked out onto the engawa. He had purple spreading across his face. Nezuko noticed everyone begin to bow and followed suit. "Please raise your heads. There's no need to kneel."

"Why have you summoned us, Oyakata-Sama?" The same man who called nezuko ugly asked. He seemed much calmer now and more collected. "It has come to my attention that a demon slayer has allowed a demon to survive." The Hashiras froze and Nezuko found herself shaking.
