After a week their stay had been closed to an end. Their bones were healed and they were ready to head out, and Nezuko was ready to get rid of these two idiots. Before they set out however, the kind woman lit sparks for them. Nezuko was touched, but Inosuke found it a useless effort. Zenitsu didn't want to leave and she really, really wanted to be back with her brothers and Tengen and his wives.

Wait- what about her family? Her real family? She almost forgot who they were. Right, her and Takeo would avenge them and cure Tanjiro.

That was the main plan.

Takeo ran to a mountain with a box in his back. He felt sorry for jostling his elder brother around so much but he couldn't help how he ran.

His hand slightly touched the hilt of his katana, ready to attack if a demon tried to jump out at him. Heard the faint sound of obnoxious screaming. However he ignored it and walked in, strait into battle.

Tanjiro scrunched his nose up in the box. He smelled a horrid stench that was there one moment and gone the next. It was irritating him, and he wanted to climb out to find it.

When he tried to open the small wooden door Takeo put his hand in front of it. "Sorry Onii-Chan, but I need to finish this mission on my own." The boy ran on but froze when he heard the cry.

He hid behind a tree as he listened. "I can kill the slayers! I promise! I'll be good elder sister, and protect you! Please Rui!" A smaller demon was using threads to cut up her face. "If you persist so much, that you can kill those pesky rodents... then why haven't you done so already?"

Takeo had enough of this and stepped out. "If she's your family, you shouldn't be treating her like that." He roughly grabbed the handle of his katana. "This is none of your concern. We are family, our bonds are stronger than most, this is love." He demon kept a strait face as it spoke. It was sickening to Takeo, even if they were demons, at one point they were real people.

"That's a bind of fear, not lo-" he was cut off by another voice. "What's this? Another demon? If I kill you, then I'll be sure to go up in ranks!" Just as he finished talking, the spider demon sent webs flying at him. At first, it looked like they did no harm, but seconds after Takeo witnessed his comrade fall to pieces on the dirt floor. He covered his mouth in shock and took a step back.

He watched the demon girl run away as the smaller one took a step closer to him. He sent out webs that Takeo had tried to cut, but his sword had broken. He looked down at the cleanly cut metal, knowing that one wrong move would result in losing a limb or death.

When the demon sent another attack out, Takeo could dodge. He had closed his eyes and accepted his fate, but the webs never came. He heard the sound of fleshing being sliced and muscles being torn but he felt nothing.

He opened his eyes to see Tanjiro had protected him. "Onii-Chan!" He had screamed before he grabbed his brother and took him out of sight.

Damn it! The cuts to deep, he won't regenerate quickly! I'm afraid his wrist might get cut off...

Takeo was trying to stop his older brothers bleeding, as he listened to Rui. "Your... brothers?" The demon looked a bit more curious now. He paid no attention to him. "Hey... let's make a deal."

Takeo shook his head as he tried to ignore Rui, but he kept talking. "If you give me your brother, I'll let you live." He grit his teeth. "Like hell I would let you have my brother!" He snapped back.

"Then I'll just have to do things the hard way..." Takeo grimaced at the tone. "and what the hell could you do that.... Could possibly..." Takeo had look up to see the demon, and noticed his hair was away from his face. One of his eyes read 'Lowermoon 5'. "I could do quite a lot, now I suggest you give me your brother, before I have to take him myself."

"I would never give my older brother to the likes of you!"

"Tch! The hard way it is then!" He used his webs to grab Tanjiro and bring him to his side. Tanjiro struggled in his grip, so desperately trying to get away from the stronger demon. "MHMMM!"
"Oh quiet. I don't want to have to punish you so soon."

Tanjiro's veins popped as he clawed at Rui's face. Rui didn't even look at him as he strung Fanjior up in the air. "Tanjiro!" Takeo screamed. "He'll be fine, stop whining. I'll let him hang for a few hours, teach him a lesson." Tanjiro struggled to get out of the webs, he managed to snap a few and was now suspended from his waist, upper arm, and calf. Rui took note and reattached the threads. He tightened them, causing blood to spill from Tanjiro's fresh wounds. Tanjiro had stopped struggling. In fact, he stopped moving. He had passed out.

"Hmm... what a strange demon." Rui stared at him, but quickly put his interest back in the slayer.
