Hello hello lovelies!
Now I know I said I wouldn't start a new fic until Alcohol and Grape Juice is finished, but since Zombie's very busy and progress has been slow, I wanted to give you all at least something to read from me, so here it is!
This will be a Xiao x Gender neutral reader fic, and doesn't really have a point in time when it's set, at least along the existing Genshin timeline. All I really want and need to clarify is that it happens between the start of the game any time up to the existing Fontaine archon quest. If there are any changes to the clarity of the timeline, I'll let you lovelies know!
This isn't pre-written like I did with my Venti fic, so updates may be inconsistent due to how long it takes me to plan and write a chapter, but I'm aiming for at least one chapter per every two weeks.
The lore of Liyue has my own little spin on it, a sprinkle of Rii-Rii-ness or something, because I have always been very bad with lore and try as I might to get things right, I may have to inprovise a few things and change some others so it fits with the details needed for this fic to make sense, so anything different or wrong, lore-wise, it is intended!
As per any fic, a warning, disclaimer, call it what you will.

This fic will contain mature language and violence as usual, but there will be no smut as I've said before that writing smut makes me very uncomfortable. Please don't request any smut as it puts me off my writing, thank you.
I cannot promise to cover all trigger warnings, but at the start of every chapter, I will write a waring for any possible triggers in that chapter.
I am only a human and I cannot know your own likes, dislikes, preferences and any other small details about you, so my description of y/n will be quite vague. Like in Unsung Battles, I will use abbreviations such as h/c, e/c, f/c and the like for any personal descriptions. Any specific details have been pre-planned for the fic and I apologise if you don't like any of it or find any offence in it. Like I said, I do not know everything about all of my readers and therefore to make sure it's an equal reading experience for everyone, I will try to be vague about your appearance and interests as possible.
Another thing I feel I should mention after some people I personally know made irl comments to me about my first fic, is that you are entitled to like what you like, whether it be this or something else. You don't have to stick around if you really don't like this fic, even though I hope you enjoy it.
So on that note of spiteful and/or harmful judgmental comments, I don't mean to be rude, but I am going to be very blunt and clear here.
