[Y/n's POV]

The next day, I woke feeling incredibly refreshed. Glancing to my side, my gaze settled on the jug containing the flowers Xiao had given me the day before.
I smiled fondly at that, happy that the seemingly cold yaksha was warming up to me.

As I dressed for the day, my mind began working at 100 miles per hour, thinking of any and all possible ways I could get closer to him.
But I stopped myself in my tracks. I'd seen this before, been through it already. The cycle was always the same. I'd make a friend, get attached, outlive them. I'd been through it so many times that quite frankly I don't think I'd be able to take losing someone else.

I pondered. A friend...

Was I allowed to have one of those?

While I was heading downstairs, I spotted Xiao standing on the edge of the balcony, observing the rest of the Inn. An idea popped into my head and I began to rush towards him.

"Xiao! Xiao! Over here!" I shouted.
He turned towards me, his brow arched in a questioning glance.
I skidded on my heels to a stop in front of him, panting, holding up one hand to stop him from speaking as I caught my breath.
Once I did I looked up at him, feeling a wide smile on my face before I spoke.

"Let's train together!"

{A/n: IM SORRY THIS IS SHORT BUT IF ANY OF YALL HAVE SOME GOOD IDEAS FOR A "TOTALLY NOT DATE" DATE XIAO'S GONNA TAKE Y/N ON I'D LOVE TO HEAR EM}
