Jin looked at the tall animal who was chewing as slow as a turtle. "What are you?" He asked and looked into his search engine. "It is a camel, idiot!" Y/n mumbled and motioned him to get on it.

Jin scoffed but asked her to get on it first. She glared at him but shook her head. "The lady gets on it first." The person who was holding the lead rope of the animal politely asked Y/n to hop on it.

Jin patted his shoulder and helped Y/n to climb over it. She stumbled while sitting on it but then Jin fell once while trying to hop on it, making Y/n laugh along with the camel owner. He glared at them and then furiously pointed at the camel before screaming,

"I hate this ride!"

-

"This ride is better," Jin affirmed, sitting on the bike and moving across the desert towards the Great Sphinx. He smiled and thanked the man before waiting for Y/n who was riding with another man.

The man dropped her in front of Jin who took the money out of his pocket and passed it to the riders. "I still don't understand why are you holding my money," Y/n complained and Jin glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. He fixed her sunglasses and adjusted her sun hat to protect her from the scorching heat.

"Because you keep spending it uselessly, my butterfly! So I am in charge because I can use search engines to precisely calculate the currencies and money for something. I don't want these foreigners to loot us tourists." Jin reasoned and she scoffed at him. "You seem more human than all of us combined."

He turned to her with a sour face. "I am a human," he told her. She squinted her eye and looked at him in suspicion. He raised and frisked his hands up. "I am a half-robot! No offense. I apologize, madam."

"I was talking about you being a human of Earth. Not about robots," she pointed out and he chuckled at her words. "Well, might be true. It is almost going to be a year since I landed on Earth." He said but his eyes widened seeing the great monument in front of him.

"Woah! Who is that?" He asked when its information flashed right in front of his eyes. "A sphinx is a mythical creature with the head of a human, the body of a lion, and the wings of an eagle." He mumbled and hummed, watching it right in front of his eyes.

"You won't melt under the heat, right?" Y/n asked in concern, looking at Jin standing under this merciless sunshine, wearing only a white tank top which was soaked with his sweat slightly under his armpits and beige pants. No hat. No sunglasses. Not even sunscreen.

But he didn't forget to carry one in his bag for Y/n.

"I won't. My eye lenses are my sunglasses and I am not tanning because the melanin under my skin works on nanobots, not skin cells." He said, rubbing his forehead. "But still, I excrete sweat. So cannot control my sweat."

Y/n looked at him with a smile and pointed out to the Great Pyramids far away. "These monuments were made to store mummies." She said and he looked at her in confusion. "What are mummies? Oh, my search engine answered. What? Humans preserved dead bodies? Inside this monument?" He said with a look of disbelief.

"Are you scared?"

"Well, considering that I myself was preserved like a robot in a laboratory. I am a technical mummy myself." Jin explained, making Y/n burst out into a fit of laughter. He smiled, watching her smile like that, and approached her. He extended his hand, asking for her hand. She calmed down and looked at his hand before smiling and placing hers over his.

"Let's go, butterfly."

-

"The City of Love?" Jin asked, staring at the Eiffel Tower? No. He was busy admiring the girl in front of it.

His butterfly.

"Yes, Paris." She said but flinched when droplets of water poured over their head. Y/n shivered, covering her body since it was already very cold and on top of that, the sudden rain wasn't helping her. Jin noticed it and immediately grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the shade of the nearby cafe.

"It doesn't say that it rains in winter in Paris," Jin informed Y/n while she was grinding her teeth, feeling the cold breeze even under her warm sweater. Jin took her glasses from the bridge of her nose and kept them inside his pocket to protect them from the rain. "Well, can you change that? Write it that there might be sudden rain during winter." She said, covering herself with her hands. She was trembling and Jin noticed that.

He moved forward and hugged her, trying his best to give her the warmth. He felt her nerves tensing because of his subtle gesture. There was complete silence all around them, although the raindrops kept falling to the ground. He gulped, holding her close to himself but then felt her pushing him back by his shoulder.

His heart ached at the way, she kept pushing him back and ignoring all the hints he left for her to catch on his feelings. He tried to step back but her necklace got stuck in her hair. He proceeded to help her by moving forward and quietly trying to untangle the hair from the necklace.

The tension was thick between them. She rested her arm on his chest and felt his heart pounding fast. She asked him, "Are you okay?" He didn't meet her eyes and replied, "I want to kiss you but I don't know if you would want that too." His cute face looked down at her.

He expected a slap right across his face but,

She tip-toed and kissed him.

With the Eiffel Tower still in the frame behind them and rain still showering over the streets of Paris.

The City of Love, indeed.

Now, Jin knows the reason.
