Amelia noticed Miss Peregrine looking for Adeline and the woman explained to her that she went upstairs for bed and didn't want to be around people for a bit. The ymbryne found it odd as Adeline came down for supper that night and normally was ready for reset by now.

"She can't sleep during reset, she hates how loud it is. She never got used to it." Alma mentioned and Amelia shrugged.

"Well maybe she's getting used to it." She says and puts an arm around her, pulling her outside. "Now come along, the children are waiting."

Miss Peregrine hesitated for a moment, not wanting to just start reset without warning the woman, but Amelia was being pushy and she had to go outside. She couldn't get too behind schedule either.

Adeline cried quietly in the closet, knowing she would be doing reset soon. She heard the rumbling of the bomb approaching the home and how the floor slightly shook and she tried keeping herself calm but failed.

Miss Peregrine tried ending the process quickly, needing to check with Adeline as she found it off she hasn't shown up. Some of the children were confused as to why she sped through it, but didn't question it as they went back inside.

"Don't you normally put on a little show, birdie." Amelia smiles and Alma ignored the comment.

"I need to see Adeline. Leave me be, Amelia." She says firmly, heading inside quickly, missing the fiery glare the woman sent her.

Miss P rushed upstairs to Adelines room and knocked, noticing the door was slightly cracked open. She pushed it open and grew worried when she seen the woman wasn't in there. She asked Emma and then Olive if they've seen her, but both of them shook their heads.

Miss Peregrine had to shove down the worrying when it came to tucking the children in, keeping her promise that she would do so. Amelia waited in their bedroom, a bit pissed off, but Alma didn't care. After tucking in Claire, she left to go downstairs and check everywhere.

"Miss Johnson?" She calls out softly. Adeline didn't hear her at first, too claustrophobic to think. She hated being crammed in such a small space, feeling the ferns and vines going around the wall. Her chest felt tight and her breathing was quick as she tried to keep herself quiet in case anyone was awake still. Not that she could get out until morning anyways.

"Adeline?"

The woman let out a small cry despite not wanting to be heard, but the sweet voice of the woman was enough to have her lose it.

Miss Peregrine heard something down the hallway and went down towards where the garden was, at first not bothering to check the closet when she first did.

"Adeline, dear, where are you? You're worrying me." Alma says and at this Adeline lost it, Alma perking up when she heard the noises from the closet, looking over to the door and quickly walking over. She tried turning the door knob, noticing it was locked and unlocking it. As soon as she unlocked the door she was met with Adeline, very distressed and seen the forestry that grew within the closet. Her eyes didn't move a second longer away from the woman as she kneeled down to look over her, both confused and concerned. Adeline let out a small sob before hugging the older woman tight. Miss Peregrine tensed for a moment before gently hugging her back as sobs racked the woman's body, bringing her in her lap as she pressed her back against the wall.

"It's alright, everything is alright." Alma says gently, running her hand through the woman's hair, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head out of impulse. Adeline thought nothing of it as fear ran through her. If that woman upstairs found out that Alma had found her, the ravenette would be in trouble.

"Who locked you in the closet?" Alma asks, Adeline taking a shaky breath in. The headmistress gently cupped the woman's face in her hands, Adeline ignoring the heat in her cheeks as Alma wiped her tears away.
