Chapter 21

Time had passed just like a blink of an eye. It had been days, months and everything seemed to fall into it's right place that it felt so unbelievably peaceful.

Months after we graduated, we had our things prepared and moved to our own place. We got our own house and settled, buying our furnitures with our own savings and it just feel so perfect. It is what it is, just like how we wanted.

College came and it was a bit difficult than I thought. Amy was in different building since she took Tourism. The same with Adler since he's a law student. Matthew took business and Lance pursued his Aeronautics. As for Raizen, I don't have any news about him anymore. After we visited him at the hospital, we've already lost contact with him. Last thing we know from Lance, he'd already migrated abroad and continued his studies in one of the prestigious University out there.

It was a bit hard for us at first but we adjusted. It was kind of hectic for us to see each other but we still made time for some outings and whatsoever. It was peaceful actually, especially that Karina is not with us anymore. Well, speaking of, we heard she's now taking business. I feel bad for her though, I wasn't expecting her to be like that, I didn't see it coming. She used to talk about making her own business, her own pastry shop. Maybe she's really going for it. As for her relationship with Mr. Echavez, wala na kaming narinig pa tungkol roon.

It was fun being a college student but exhausting as well. I'm just glad we already graduated from first year and still moved up with flying colors. And finally, it's summer again.

"There you are. You finally came down."

I stopped at my way down the stairs as I hear his familiar voice. Inaantok kong kinusot ang mga mata.

"You're up so early." Reklamo ko sa lalaking nakasuot ng apron at naghahanda ng agahan sa hapag. Tumawa lang siya at lumapit sa akin.

"Good morning, my fashionista." Nakangiting aniya bago ako halikan.

"Goodmorning, Attorney."

Adler put his hands around my waist and guided me to the dining table. He even pulled me a chair before he sat down on his own seat.

"So, what's our plan today?" Tanong nito habang pinagsasandok ako ng kanin.

"I don't know yet. I wanna go shopping, watch some movies, buy some groceries." Ani ko habang nag-iisip pa ng pwedeng gawin.

"Yeah, what else? I've seen your search history, interested with something different, huh?" Saad niya. Malamang ay nakita na naman niya ang pinanonood ko sa YouTube nitong nakaraang araw.

"Well, kinda. Let's buy some yarns! I wanna try the crochet." Nakangiting sabi ko sa kanya.

"Alright then, we'll do that after we finish eating." Pagsang-ayon nito.

Minadali ko ang pagkain na ikinasermon nito. Pinandilatan ko lang ito ng mata at inutusang bilisan rin ang pagkain. He didn't had the chance to refuse when he saw that I'm almost done.

"Always a baby." Naiiling na bulong nito.

I ignored him for a while and finished my meal. Patayo na ako para maghugas nang magsalita ito.

"You go prepare your things, I got this." Tukoy nito sa platong hawak ko.

"Alright." Abot-tenga ang ngiting sabi ko.

Habang paakyat ng hagdan ay nag-ayos ito ng mesa at dinala ang hugasin sa kusina. I smiled at myself, thinking he was a boyfriend material. A husband material, rather.

Inayos ko lahat ng gamit na dadalhin ko bago naligo at nag-ayos ng sarili. I was drying my hair when Adler entered the room. I glanced at him, welcoming his presence when I saw him looking at me, smiling.
