The next day Kageyama was in Rome again. Sometimes he really did question his decision of becoming a professional volleyball player. Maybe going to college wasn't a bad idea at all. He would have gotten a scholarship anyway. This time his vollyball scores would have been accepted. Unlike the time he tried to get in Shiratorizawa. The most elite sports university all over the world have sent him inventations and other stuffs, but no he had to turn them down because he wanted to get into the pro's world right away. Why thought of that? Because of his stupid schedule. Right now he was back in Italy for some preperation practise for three days with his team just so he could get back to Japan again to play the MSBY Black Jackals at the Club world championship.
"Why couldn't I've just staid in Japan...", he muttered pissed and exited the airport. There Eric was waiting for him.
"Had fun?", the American Libero asked him.
"Fun in Japan? Yes. Fun flying back here for three days and going back again? No.", Tobio answered in a deadpanned tone. "Out of all the teams in the world, why does it have to be the stupid MSBY Black Jackals!!!!! I swear to god!!! I will fucking..."
At this point, Eric stopped listening to the setter's rant and whines about the world being such a ruthless place. He took the suitcases and put them into the trunk.
"You know what?", he interupted his teammates complain. "Just get into the car. We're going home, so you can rest a bit inside the car."
"Yeah, whatever.", Kageyama muttered still not satisfied with the fact he had to go back to Japan in three days again. At this moment, his phone notification has gone on. The typical Samsung notification sound came.
"Hold on.", he said and pulled his phone out of his pockets to see what the thing was about. Surprisingly, it wasn't any text message. It was an information-e-mail about the upcoming Blue Lock 11 versus Japan's U20.
"What is it?", Eric asked him from the driver's side of the car as he opened the door.
"It's some sort of e-mail from events that inform you about some changes of the schedules. You know, like an information of a delay of a concert.", Kageyama answered and showed him his phone.
"And is the event, you've bought a ticket for?", Eric asked curiously.
"A football match of my brother.", Kageyama replied. "Looks like it'll be held earlier."

"The deadline for the voting has passed. The last stage of the 3rd selection will begin soon.", came from the speakers. Yoichi groaned at that voice as he awoke against his will. If it weren't for the announcement slash wake-up-alarm, he would have slept through until lunch time.
"Please wear your uniforms promptly and gather up.", the annoying announcement continued.
"Fuck you...", Yoichi muttered half asleep and got up to get changed. Seconds later he met the rest of the surviving Blue Lock members inside the gathering arena of the facility. Results of the votes were now presented to the public eye.  Team A with Rin and Shidou as the main characters had the most with 12 votes.
'What a surprise...', Yoichi thought as he spotted Igaguri being one of those on the board. Yoichi chose to play with team B this time. He wanted to forge his goal scoring weapons and that was only possible by playing with meant to be sidekicks.
'Tabito Karasu and Eita Otoya, both of them are very good at dribbling. Plus, Karasu is also a very good defender and passer. To have something like this on a team is just great. Though, there finishing abilities are limited. The perfect chance for me to snatch the spotlight as the striker.', Yoichi thought and looked at his name being in the team B section on the monitor. If he gets the chances that is. His thoughts were then stopped by the voice of the facility manager, "There will be 5 matches in total, as shown up here."
The picture was switched to a grafic with the match ups on it.
"Bachira Meguru will take part in the last match as a member of team C.", he continued. "There will be a six-hour break between each match. For the same fairness watching the other matchell will not be allowed. Now then, let us move on to the first match. A vs B. We will now randomly select three members for each team."
A spinning wheel like the ones from lottery games appeared on the screan and spit out three names.
"First of, team A. Nanase Nijirou, Hiori You, ...", came from the speakers. Yoichi wasn't really listening. All he wanted to know were things about his own team.
"And now, for their opponents, team B, we'll roll again."
'Finally...', Yoichi thought and looked at the animation.
"First, Shiguma Kyouhei!! Second, Chigiri Hyouma! And third, ...", Ego waited for the animation to end, as the last name popped out. "Kageyama Yoichi."
T-shirts came out of the floor. Yoichi grabbed the one with the number 8 on it and marched through the entrance gate to the pitch.
"Wait up, Kageyama!", Chigiri shouted behind him and caught up to him whilst Shiguma just walked behind them. "So, we're playing on the same team again, hun?"
"Seems like it.", Yoichi answered as the gate behind them closed.
"Be a bit more excited that you are playing with someone you know.", the pink haired insisted, but his remark was ignored because his raven haired teammate had more important matters, "Say, Chigiri..."
"What is it?"
"Wouldn't it be boring if we just let the players in the top six score?"
"Huh?"
Chigiri couldn't answer anymore. The darkness inside the corridor to the arena was enlightened through the opening that became bigger, and bigger. Light poured into it but was soon eaten by the black hair from Yoichi. Same things couldn't be said for his eyes though. They were a light source on their own.
"You guys are on defense, okay?", Karasu immediately said as soon as they've entered the pitch.
"For real, no talking back.", Otoya added.
Shiguma staid silent whilst Chigiri was impatient for the match to start. Yoichi, however, had different thoughts, "That depends on your offense ability and I'm not really interested in assisting people who are unable to score from my passes."
Without any further words, he walked through his two captains to the defensive position and waited for the kick off.
