The sun high up in the sky, shining bright as always. The Crood family, Ila, an Guy were still sleeping soundlessly. Guy's log was teetering over s cliff edge. There was another earthquake during the night, and half of the Croods sleeping plate form had been sunk underneath. Grug was still grasping the logs, which was now hanging over the edge, Guy sleeping as he slowly started to slid out on end. Grug shifted in his sleep, flipping onto his order now. Now Guy's head was hanging in the air and he started to slip from head first. He slowly opened his eyes and looked down. Startled he blinked a few times-
"AAAAAAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH."
Grug awoke, quickly standing up and lifting the log. "Guys." he yelled, waking the rest of the family up. Everyone was startled at the lava beneath them. "Hurry up. Let's get going." He motioned for them to follow, not giving them time to wake up.
The family dragged themselves behind Grug as he cautiously made his way to the mountain. He sniffed and tested the ground, gripping the log tightly in his arm. "That was close. It almost got us." Guy said as he still couldn't get the picture of him almost sinking in the lava from his mind.
"I was watching We were fine." Grug mumbled defensively.
"We've got to move faster. Do you people have any other speed aside from "wander"? I'll take a shamble at this point." Guy complained with a frown.
Ila moved closer to Guy, smiling softly to herself. She couldn't get his story out of her mind. How did the tiger fly? Where did she go? "Hey." She said, gaining Guys attention. She lowered her face to his and tapped his nose twice. "Do you have a minute? How did the tiger fly?"
Guy raised an eyebrow. "I only share when I'm outside the log. I'm funny that way."
Ila glanced at Eep with a begging expression. The girl sighed, knowing what she wanted. "Just leave it to us." she smirked as Ila grinned and winked at him. Guy frowned, sharing a confused look with Belt. The two girls fell back behind thunk, getting him between the two and Grug.
Ila faked gasped, making Thunk look at her puzzled. She pointed at his face. "Oh Thunk! You have a spider on your face!"
Eep nodded. "Let me help you." She smashed Thunk in the face, knocking him into Grug. That sent Guy and the log flying. Grug shoots the girls an annoyed look before turning to find Guy. He noticed he was rolling away. "he's loose!" he went to catch Guy and stepped on something sharp. "Aaaaahhh!" He screamed in pain and pointed at the corals. "Do not step on those weird, pointy rocks!"
"You mean these rocks!?" Thunk stepped on the coral and it crunched under his feet. "Ahhh owwww! Do NOT step on those!"
"Step aside girls!" Gran stepped out confidently then screamed and jumped on her cane.
Grug huffed, irritated that his family wasn't listening to him. "Hell? Nobody's listening! No one is listening. You cannot walk on those!" He loooked back towards the boy, eyes widening when he saw Guy standing on the coral without any pain. "Arrraughraghhh come back here now!" he barked as he tried to reach Guy without touching the coral.
"Well, there goes our chance for survival." Gran sighed.
"And our log!" Thunk added as they watched Guy walk further in the small coral field.
Grug took a sharp breath. "Okay! Arrraaugh!" He stepped on the corals, cringing in pain with every step. Guy, still stuck in the log, hopped away as fast as he could. But Grug sprinted forward and grabbed the log, only to loose it as Guy jumped to a coral patch below.
"Ow, ow, ow!" Guy groaned as he fell down on his butt and caught Belt. Guy, now free, ran and his behind a giant shell. He peeked back at the Croods as they tried to cross the field in vain. Ila stood at the beginning of the field, glancing around for Guy with a frown on her face. She hoped he didn't leave. Guy watched Ila with a sadden expression. He didn't want to leave her behind but he didn't want to be their hostage either.
