Evan's Past

Kamol was furious when he got back to his office. Khom thought he was going to kill Ivan. Actually, he was amazed that Kamol held himself back. Of course, the kid had no idea what was going on. He has been at the hotel now for a month and this was the second time that Khom had seen him in the bar. Of course, he wasn't drinking as he was underage, though if he ordered it, it would have been served to him. Khom let Vasili know about Ivan going after Time, of course the explicit words that came out of his mouth in 4 different languages had Khom laughing. Ivan really did it now. It is one thing to mess with Evan's guards, but you didn't mess with someone under his protection and not even a member of the underworld. Khom heard Kamol hang up with Evan and sigh when he sat down. "I take it that didn't go well." "Did you think Evan would be happy to find out that Ivan messed with Time?" "Well, what did Evan say?" "Our worst nightmare." "Kamol, please tell me Evan isn't sending for Yuri?" "He doesn't have to; Yuri is at the mansion with him right now and he is going to send him to the hotel to be Time's new bodyguard." "Shit, Igor better change his mind and come to Thailand, or he is going to lose Ivan as one of his men?" "Just Ivan, you know as well as I do if Yuri gets involved, Ivan and the 12 men under him will be dead." Khom and Kamol just looked at each other, then decided to bet on how much longer Ivan would live.

Time was happy for the assistance but was confused when Kamol told him whatever he ordered was on the hotel as he hasn't paid for anything at the hotel since he got here a little over a month ago. Regardless he was not going back down to the bar tonight in case that guy was still there. He decided to get some schoolwork done. He was just about to chat with some of his buddies from class when there was a knock at his door. He opened it and a scary guy entered, looked around his room, checked crevices, and then walked out. Time noticed that there was a chair outside his door and the guy sat on it. He finally got up the courage to ask the guy who he was when his phone went off. He looked and noticed it was Evan calling him. He finally found out the name of the guy helping him as he called every week to see how he was and if he needed anything. "Hello Evan" "Time, sorry about this evening. Kamol told me about it, so I hired you a bodyguard. I hope he has arrived and introduced himself." "Yeah, he arrived." "Good, he will make sure nothing happens to you." "How long do I need this guy and he doesn't have to follow me to Uni does he?" "No, he doesn't have to follow you to Uni, I will have one of Kamol's guys handle that." Time could hear Evan laughing and didn't get it until Evan spoke again. "Yuri at University would be a funny site to see. I won't put him through that." "Ok, well thank you for the protection, but I was about to do an assignment." "Ok, I won't bother you, but if you need anything." "Yes, I know. Let you or Kamol know." Time hung up and again thought about what this Evan does, but decided it was best that he didn't ask. He did, however, open the door and let Yuri know that there was another room in his suite that he could stay in, so he didn't have to sleep on the chair.

Kamol went to bed after learning that Ivan was in bed as well. Khom decided to do a check and included in his walk the VIP Floor where Time was staying. He was shocked to see Yuri already at the Hotel and on a chair outside the kid's room. "Yuri, nice to see you" "Ha, if you could do your job, I wouldn't have to be here." "Still holding a grudge against me?" "Now, why would I hold a grudge. You are the head guard for Kamol, and I am the head guard for Evan, but where am I. Sitting here guarding a University student. You don't think Evan is going to make me go to Uni with this kid too, do you?" Khom decided to mess with his mentor a bit as he rarely gets the chance these days. "I don't know, did he assign anyone else?" Before Yuri could respond, Khom's phone went off. It wasn't important, but he told Yuri that Kamol needed him. While he is walking away, Yuri could hear him laughing. Yuri soon pulled out his phone and sent a message to Evan telling him that Vasili would make a good bodyguard at Uni for this bratty kid. Meanwhile, Kamol had just gotten into bed and was finally relaxing when Khom entered without knocking and was laughing. "Khom, what has gotten into you?" "Yuri is already here and guarding Time, I gave him the impression that he would also be accompanying Time to Uni tomorrow. The look on his face was priceless." "Khom, you are messing with fire. Our mentor is not one for jokes." "I know Kamol, but here look on the CCTV his expression is priceless." Evan read his message from Yuri and sighed. Kamol and Khom never took anything seriously, though they always got the job done, so he couldn't complain, but they sure did like to piss off Yuri. He decided to take Yuri out of his misery by replying. "Liam is going to Uni with Time tomorrow and he is not a bratty kid." Evan was shocked when he read the reply Yuri sent him. "Do you think anyone but me can properly guard this kid. I will be going to Uni with him tomorrow and one word out of anyone mouths and they will be sporting black eyes." Evan smiled and told Yuri to make sure he got some sleep. He also knew that Yuri would take this seriously as he was with Evan when Time's family helped him and his brothers out years ago. Time's family saved Yuri as well, which is why Evan sent him, it was more than just duty for him, it was personal, and it was Igor and Ivan's family that put the hit out on Evan and his two younger brothers.
