Ruj Heir Apparent

Kamol looked at the report that Evan sent him. Then he swore. He had no idea how he was going to explain this to his bodyguard with whom he has come to treat as a brother. But after reading the report he now knew why Ruj's father never cut him off, since he was illegitimate. He was the heir to the top mafia faction in Korea. Of course, Evan wanted to know how I left Krit get involved with him. Kamol swore again, seriously he was not sure what happened over a year ago in Korea, but all he knew was what he was told. Of course, he did some digging of his own when he found Khom's report to be lacking but did not go to deep as he trusted his men. Though, what he sent Evan back was the truth, Ruj probably had no idea since he was illegitimate, and it never came up on Khom's background check. Evan trusted Khom with his life and his investigative skills were matched by no one that either has seen yet.

Kamol called Khom and told him to meet him in his office. When Khom arrived, he asked if he knew the name of Ruj's father. Khom told him he investigated it and found that he was a big shot running a casino in Korea, but nothing illegal was found. He showed the report that Evan sent over to Khom. Khom just looked at it. Then showed Kamol the difference. Ruj's father was second born and changed the spelling of his last name. The fact that the first born did not have any children, the next in line went to the first born of the second son, which was Ruj by 2 months. Khom told Kamol to look for his parents to show up any time since Ruj's uncle passed away. He also told him from he has heard about Ruj's stepmother, she does not like Ruj and believes her son should get everything. Kamol then asked Khom for the truth about what happened in Korea. Khom told him he really did not know except that Krit said he was not going back without Ruj going with him. Kamol told Khom to keep this from Ruj for the time being.

3 days later at the hotel

Kamol and Khom were doing financial stuff up in the office and Ruj and Krit were having dinner at the restaurant. Unknown to them, a couple tables over Ruj's family were also there eating. Ruj would not have even noticed if he had not heard his stepmother yell at his sister to eat properly. Chin Sun anytime Ruj had dealings with her was always trying to get his siblings Seung and Sook to have proper manners. Ruj turned his head because she could not possibly be in Thailand. He did not tell them he left Korea, but sure enough his family was sitting a couple tables from them. He was not happy to see them and told Krit he was finished and going back up to the floor. Krit was confused, but they both were done eating awhile ago, but were enjoying some down time. As they were walking out, Kwan stopped Ruj and told him that he needed to speak to him.

Ruj: Pa, I do not know how you found me, but I do not see where there is anything we need to talk about. We have an agreement.

Chin Sun: Oh, Ruj dear, do not be like that.

Kwan: Honey, let me handle this please.

Ruj: Pa, I am working and need to get back to work.

Ruj and Krit walk away and take the special elevator up to Kamol's floor. Kwan and Chin Sun are confused because with the amount of money that Ruj gets each month from them, he should not have to work. Krit is worried about Ruj and when they reach Kamol's floor asks him what that was all about.

Ruj: That was my family. I told you about them already.

Krit: Why would they follow you here?

Ruj: I have no idea, but we have an agreement, and I am not about to let them change it. I am not upset that I did not get to go to university, but my brother did not deserve my spot. He is lazy and thinks everything should be handed to him without much work.

Krit: Seems like he feels like he is entitled. He would never survive bodyguard training.

Ruj laughs at the thought of his brother going through Evan's bodyguard training. Krit knows that Ruj's family dynamics does not bother him, Ruj continues to laugh as both him and Krit walk towards Kamol's office. Just as they go there, Khom opens the door and tells Ruj that there are people downstairs demanding to see him. Ruj said he saw them already and it is not a big deal. Kamol yells from inside that it is important, and he needs to speak with him. Krit is afraid for him, so he tries to enter as well, but Khom stops him and shuts the door.
