Astreus Lynx Perveus’s POV

“Lynx.. kumain ka muna sige na” I just shook my head and stared at my sister I couldn’t let out any more tears because of crying.

Kanina pa ako umiiyak sa awa at galit pero wala naman akong magawa kaya pinigilan ko nalang.

“Hindi ako nagugutom” Malumanay na sagot ko.

“Pumapayat kana, kumain kana sige na” Umiinot na ang ulo ko sa kakulitan ng tita ko pero hindi ko nalang pinansin dahil alam kong titigil din s’ya mamaya.

Umalis na rin kaagad s’ya kaya naiwan na ako rito magisa.

Sa gitna ng pagiisip ko ay biglang nag ring ang cellphone ko kaya kaagad ko itong sinagot kahit hindi tinitignan ang caller.

“Lynx” I was taken aback in my seat when I heard his deep and hoarse voice.

“Yes.. president?” I asked lethargic.

“Have you eaten?” He asked and i answered him honestly.

“I will send food there, you have to eat because I don’t want you to go back to work looking like a dead bird” He said seriously and sternly, i smile a lil bit because he seems worried.

“Okay.." I just answered.

“Oh wait— Can I ask? Why did you pay the bills?" I asked directly and he went silent for a moment before he speak up.

“Let’s talk about this when you get back" He uttered so i just sigh in disappointment.

“I still have a meeting, take care of yourself" Huling sabi n’ya at hindi na hinintay pa ang sagot ko dahil pinatay n’ya kaagad ang tawag.

Malumanay kong ibinaba ang cellphone pero kaagad ko ring naisipan na tawagan si Gray na kaagad naman n’yang sinagot.

Nang malaman n’yang nasa hospital ang kapatid ko ay nanggagalaiti sila sa galit ganun din sil Tyrone.

Pinakiusapan ko ang iba sa kanila kung pwede ba nilang bantayan si Trisha rito sa hospital dahil hindi ko rin pwedeng pabayaan ang trabaho ko.

“Sure, sila Tyrone nalang ang bahala kay Trisha ako nalang ang magbabantay kay Tristan” Sabi ni Gray kaya nagpasalamat ako.

“Anong thankyou? Lilibre mo kami sa bar sa susunod!” Napatawa ako sa sinabi nila pero umagree na lamang ako dahil wala naman akong laban sa kanilang lahat.

“Tomorrow morning we’re gonna be there, day off naman namin bukas kaya ayos lang basta kayanin mo Lynx h’wag ka susuko— isipin mo mga kapatid mo ang liliit pa nila para maiwang ulila” Napatahimik ako sa sinabi nila pero hindi ko maitatanggi na tama nga naman.

“Alam na alam n’yo talaga kung pasuko na ba ako" Natatawang wika ko na ikinatawa rin nila at sinabing ‘Kilala ka na namin’.

“Sige na gigisingin ko na si Tristan at papakainin ko na, kumain kana rin Lynx” I just said yes before hanging up the phone and as soon as i did that someone came inside and i stood up when i saw the president’s secretary.

“Lynx, here.. the boss said kapag hindi mo raw ito kinain ibabaw n’ya sa suweldo mo ang pinambili" Napatawa ako ng mahina sa sinabi n’ya kaya kinuha ko ang pagkain at sinimulang kainin ito.

“How’s your sister?" She asked, i smile cheerfully and said she’s fine.

“I’m glad, when will you go back to work?” She asked again.

“Tomorrow, I can’t stand to just stay here and do nothing” I answered while chewing, she smile genuinely that made me smile too.

That’s right, i don’t have to give up because i’m surrounded by cheerful people.

“Keep it up, you look like you’re about to give up” I chuckles and shook my head.

“I can’t do that though” I answered while staring at my food.

Kumain na kaya si Trisha bago s’ya nahospital? Ang sabi ng doctor ay nakakakain naman daw s’ya ng maayos kaya walang kaso ng malnourished sa kan’ya.

It must be my auntie who’s feeding her, i have to thank her soon.

“Lynx.. Sir Lynx!" I startled and look up at her before apologizing and finish my food.

“Well i’m glad you finish your food fast, that’s the information i need to report to our boss” She said while giggling.

“Yeah, i will be back tomorrow” I smile at her and she stand up, she prepare to leave.

“That’s good, because he's been waiting for you to come back” I was surprised by what zhe said so I frowned but she just laughed and went to the door before opening it, but before she went out she look at me.

“He seems eager to see you again" She said in a low and teasing voice before she leaves and left me frozen.

Is she.. talking about the president?

Why is he so excited to see me?
