The sound of echoing voices ringed in my head, causing a headache though I was unconscious. I wanted to cry in fear, yet no words came out from my mouth, and a beautiful scenery was shown to me. An area of shrines that I had never seen before, but only heard about. The Sakura Tree, second to none - yet it was glistening before my very eyes. I heard that only selected candidates would be shown this beautiful masterpiece, yet I was witnessing it like the scene was playing before my eyes like a move film. The Sakura Tree was perhaps even greater than The Eternal Tree - with it's powerful and magical properties, it was far more renowned than the Eternal Tree, yet I couldn't help but believe that the memories that I held with the Eternal Tree were far greater than the Sakura Tree.

Ah, so that's what it was. This was a dream. It must have been my desperate moments to cherish a beautiful reality from when I was still alive, cherishing them before my last moments here.

As my eyes scanned my surroundings while intaking the beauty of it, a woman that was not there a moment ago appeared with a grin on her face. Her hair was purple like Kabukimono's, her long braid swaying side to side as she leaned in towards me to lend me a hand. Was I meant to take it? Maybe it was because of the fact that this was all a dream, but I couldn't see her eyes - they were simply filled with blurry outlines of them, almost like my vision was especially hazy in the one area of her eyes. Her clothes were purple like her hair, and she wielded a weapon on her right hand.

"My name is Ei." The woman said, her voice echoing as it only proceeded to give me a headache. Ei? That name... sounded familiar.

"I've decided to give you a second chance, your death was pitiful. To foolishly die for a puppet, it was almost pathetic." The voice continued, my head ringing. Her voice was soft and delicate, yet it held such a power tone of authority like a commander. Even though this was but a dream, her presence was overpowering. Her tone in her words seemed threatening, yet put me at ease. Puppet? Death?

Ah... This woman must have been Kabukimono's creator, his mother. She had told me that I had died for him, which was impossible as I didn't recall even attempting to harm him.

"I guess even in my dreams... I can't avoid death... Are you Kabukimono's creator?" I asked, yet she wouldn't respond. She simply stood there silent, pulling her hand back to the waist after seeing that I had denied her assistance. She didn't have an answer, and it was probably because she knew it was true. Seeing that she had no response, more questions filled my head.

"Then why... did you have to abandon him...?" I asked as I felt tears on my cheeks, which came out unconsciously. Seeing that the cause of Kabukimono's misfortune was standing before my eyes only brought forth more emotions that I didn't ask for.

"Why did you create him in the first place if you were planning to abandon him and leave him to his misery? Just... why...?!" I gasped for air as I let my anger flow through, despite knowing that this was all a dream. As I cursed my heart out, she finally responded - but not with the answer that I so desperately seeked.

"That's enough. Go back to your world." She hovered her hand around my head, emitting a purple flash of light.

"I'm not done ye-!"

When I felt my eyes fluttering open, I felt a sense of relief. I realised that I was still living, yet grief began it's way in after realising that I had almost been killed. I awoke with my hand tightly grasped by a sleeping indigo-haired boy, slouching on the ground and his tears clearly dried up on his cheeks. To think of the shock that he went through after discovering that I had almost died was probably quite immense for him.
