As I felt my body becoming heavier, a sense of peace filled the atmosphere. It was as if I was sinking in the ocean, drowning to the endless depths of the abyss. I was in the position of a fetus still growing inside it's mother's womb, encapsulated in it's warmth. Although my eyes were closed, a shining ray of light could clearly be felt passing through my skin.
I felt... at peace. The pain of the stab wounds and the sensation of blood oozing out of my chest could not be felt, but rather a harmonious atmosphere entered my body. I was conscious, yet had no control of it. I knew that I was breathing, yet my breaths were rather structured as if I was a machine coming to life, instead of a human.
I turned my face upwards, and a beaming ray of light seemed to grow stronger. If this was the ocean, the light that shone was the surface. At first, it felt like I was in the embrace of something warm, but now that warmth had transformed into a metal wall which confined me with shackles that seemed to hold on without mercy.
I wanted to scream, but my muffled gasps could not escape to the surface, but rather remain here with me. Instead, an echo that resembled the voice of a demon came to me, shrieking in my presence almost like it was mocking my helplessness. A series of laughter that echoed then followed, blocking the only light source I had, limiting the chances of my escape.
"Open your eyes." A sweet voice that contained a sense of slyness whispered, and suddenly it felt as if I was being pulled out of the water without any warning. I gasped, expecting to be soaked with water, yet I was completely dry. I huffed for breath, afraid of what was happening to me. My clothes were tattered, blood stains clearly visible and the sharp pain from stabbing my chest seemed to return all at once, and the same feeling from 'that night' seemed to return. My body felt lighter than before, as if I was missing something.
I was no longer in the ocean, but was laying down on the warm floor in front of the Sakura Tree. A beautiful sight, yet filled with disdain from the regretful memories of the 'dream' I had previously when I was put at the brink of death the first time. It was a familiar scene, but instead of a purple-haired woman greeting me, it was... a human fox?
"My, my! That woman is truly a genius! To see a dead girl in front of me is really..." The pink-haired woman's exclamation carried a mix of surprise and admiration. Her words hung in the air like a delicate melody, tinged with a hint of awe at the unexpected sight before her. She then turned her gaze towards me, her eyes narrowing with a curious intensity. There was a peculiar blend of fascination and scrutiny in her expression, as if she possessed the ability to dissect my very existence with just a glance. "...extraordinary."
Her words carried a weight of judgment, and the intensity of her gaze made me feel like an open book, every page scrutinized with meticulous detail. There was an air of mystery surrounding the pink-haired woman, and her reaction to the unusual scene unfolding before her hinted at a depth of understanding beyond the ordinary.
As she continued to assess the situation with a measured curiosity, the atmosphere crackled with an electric energy. The revelation of a dead girl before her seemed to have piqued not just her interest but had sparked a fire of intrigue within her. In that moment, I became the subject of her scrutiny, and the unfolding narrative took an unexpected turn under the watchful eyes of the mysterious woman.
As I futilely squeezed onto my chest trying to reduce the pain of the wounds, I groaned while a sudden burst of emotion came to my gaze. I should have been filled with misery and pain, yet one question stood by. I was desperate to know the answer.
"Has he... received my heart? Please... I need to know." I asked, the familiar taste of iron filling my mouth once again as I trembled in the presence of the woman who seemed to dominate every aspect. The woman presented a brief smile, then scoffed as if what I had said was ridiculous.
