As the work day ends and I make my way back to my home, I hear my phone buzz in my pocket. Whilst attempting to juggle my bag resting on my shoulder and grappling to pull out my phone, I eventually manage to drag it out after quite some time.

"Hello?"

"How did you get this number?" The other end of the line says. It's a male voice and my brow furrows considering they're the one who called me.

"I'm sorry, who is this?"

A long pause ensues from the other end of the phone.

"Y/n." The voice says and I recognise the caller as Satoru immediately. My name just rolls of his tongue effortlessly, the same way it did when he greeted me at the meeting earlier today.

"Utahime gave me your number, I called a while ago to say thanks... but then we saw each other at my work anyway." I tell him and another contemplating silence comes from the other end of the line. I see my house appear in its long white terrace before climbing the steps to my front porch exhausted.

"What are you doing now?" He asks me and I sigh before shoving my bag onto the ground and placing my phone against my shoulder, trapping it there between my head so I can rummage for my keys whilst talking on the phone. The sooner I get this cast off, the better.

"Um, at the moment I'm attempting to get my keys out of my bag, which means I'll probably be standing outside my door for the next 3o minutes." I explain to him, my tone frustrated. Before he can respond, my phone slips from my shoulder and falls, thankfully, into my bag and not on the ground. "Great." I mutter to myself before picking it up and holding it to my ear with my working arm. There's no point in multi tasking, I'll just have to give Satoru my full attention for now.

"-over" Is all I hear him say as the phone meets my ear once again.

"Sorry, I missed that, what-" I begin but the line goes dead, three beeps ringing back at me to indicate that the call has been ended by Satoru. A confused expression spreads across my features as I pull the phone away from my ear and hold it to my face, only to see my call history. "Asshole." I murmur before chucking my phone into my bag and continuing to search for my keys.

Finally having found them, I stumble over my bag into my house before hauling it in after me. After feeling drained from this altercation, I collapse onto my sofa for a few minutes before  lugging my tired body to my bedroom. There, I strip out of my work clothes before changing into something more comfortable. Laying on my bed, I hear my phone ping from beside me, causing me to let out a tired groan in response.

I watch as a message from Utahime comes through.

From Utahime:
Um, why did Satoru just ask me for your address?

I shoot upright as quickly as my body will let me, my eyes widening at the text. I must have missed what he said on the call when I dropped my phone, maybe he said he was coming over.

To Utahime:
I don't know... but I'm SCARED, you didn't give it to him, did you?

I message her back quickly before rushing into my living room, only to hear my door bell ring a shrill, ominous tone. I freeze, wondering what he could even be doing here in the first place. Did I really sound so desperate on the phone that he thought I was actually locked out of my home? I was just being sarcastic... I didn't think he'd take it seriously.

I watch from a distance through the glass panes in my door as a tall shadow of a figure looms there. After deciding that I can't hide any longer, I approach the door and open it quickly. My eyes are greeted by the sight of Satoru, still in his work clothes but the top few buttons of his shirt undone, standing before me.
