"Thank you again." I say as Satoru passes me my coffee and cake, both of us finally seated on the bench. I'm quite glad he carried them for me, I might have had to perform a juggling act with this cast still on if he weren't here...

"No problem." He says simply before taking a long sip of his coffee. Even though he's wearing sunglasses, I can tell he's looking at me through them.

"What did you get?" I ask, gesturing to his drink.

"Iced Caramel latte with extra caramel drizzle." He says, holding the drink before him proudly before offering it to me. "Wanna try some?" He asks, his lips curving upwards into a boyish grin.

I can't help it, his smile makes my cheeks heat up and I have to take a sip of my own iced coffee to cool them down. I turn my face forwards to look over the micro-climate of a park in front of us before responding.

"It's okay thanks." I say before placing my coffee on the edge of the bench and starting to unbox my cake. "Do you want a bite?" I ask him back, gesturing to the slice of matcha shortcake with the small, wooden fork that came with it. Satoru leans close to me and peers into the box which is on my lap, causing my pulse to quicken slightly. He acts so cold most of the time, that as soon as he acts in even a vaguely amicable way, it's as if I can't control my reactions.

Because of his proximity, I can see his eyes from over his sunglasses as they flick between both my face and the cake in my lap. He's plotting something once again.

"Will you feed me some?" He asks as his grin grows wider. I attempt to give him a deadpan expression in response without showing how flustered I am. It works, and he retreats back to his side of the bench, my whole body relaxing as he does so. "Just kidding!" He says cheerfully and I silently thank god that I didn't actually agree to feed him any.

I watch as he begins to unpack his own box of cakes, containing four, different slices. I wonder if it's all for him? Then again, I do know Satoru has a habit of overbuying food, as we saw yesterday with the pizza he brought to my house. I guess that kind of abundance comes from having been so rich his whole life...

"You know I've still got four whole pizzas leftover in my fridge, right?" I say and he lets out a small chuckle in response.

"If you don't want them, just throw them away." He responds before placing a large bite of strawberry shortcake into his mouth. I let out a curt exhale at his comment. I wonder if he has the same attitude when it comes to people? He seems to have taken interest in me for the time being at least... "So, did you google me after I left?" He asks.

"Nope." I watch as his face falls slightly before turning into a smile as if he was momentarily disappointed before being overcome with relief. I scoop another piece of matcha shortcake into my mouth and swallow it before continuing to speak. "You asked me not to, so I didn't. I'm surprised you think I'd care enough to google you." I finish with a teasing smile.

Satoru lets out a laugh at my brazen comment and I can't help but laugh with him.

"But I have to ask, if you're so insecure about your profession, why do it in the first place?" I question and Satoru's expression contorts into one of slight surprise.

"Firstly, I'm not insecure, it's just you're the first person I've met in a while who doesn't treat me like they want something, and I think it's because you don't know who I am." He begins, pointing a finger towards me as he leans in my direction, causing me to look at his finger with one eyebrow raised questionably. "Secondly, we all have to do things we don't want to." Satoru leans back on the bench in a relaxed manner before shoving a bit of chocolate crepe cake into his mouth. "For example, you don't like your work, but you still do it."
