*sorry for mistakes*
The limousine drove through winding roads in a dark forest, a light shower of rain dropping onto the damp surface of the earth and everything on it. Yui gazed distantly out the window, her hair now done in a small side bun with some strands pulled out to frame her face, one of Shiori's old silver pins stuck in to hold the hair together. After what happened with Misa earlier, Yui just did her own hair. She was just glad Misa didn't ask much about what caused her to go into a blind panic attack, but Yui knew she could tell what she had:
PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Well, if we really wanted to get specific, Yui had Rape Trauma Syndrome. It's a branch off of PTSD that was more directed towards assault victims. This syndrome included reoccurring nightmares and flashbacks of the assault, emotional numbing, avoiding anything and everything that could make the victim remember the assault, and increased psychological reactions such as easily startled, hypervigilance, insomnia, and difficulty concentrating. She was still in the 'acute stage' (beginning) when she first met Shiori and Takeru. Yui could still remember that day like it was yesterday, even though it was twelve years ago. They were equivalent to parental figures she never had, so Yui got attached to them as if they were her real parents and felt safe. They gave her a place to stay to recover from her injuries, helped her during her odd pregnancies, and gave her a stable environment to live peacefully in. Yui used to have severe symptoms when she first met Shiori and Takeru; she practically jumped at the sound of footsteps or someone moving a plate, showed no emotion or too much emotion, didn't feel when she accidentally cut herself, always hyper-aware of everything or in her head for long periods of time, vomited when she even slightly remembered that night, freeze up when she became too scared, spent hours in the bath trying to scrub herself raw, and had terrible reoccurring thoughts of suicide. Yui remembered the day after something happened...She couldn't remember the night before that much, but she woke up in a hospital room with bandages on her arms. She could connect the dots:
Flashback:
"Hello, Komori-san, is it?" A female doctor sat next to Yui's cot with a clipboard in her hands, the pale blonde slowly nodded as she watched the doctor give her a warm smile. "My name is Kurosawa Mei, I'm a psychiatrist here. It's very nice to meet you, Komori-san."
Yui didn't say anything, she only gave Dr. Kurosawa an empty stare.
"Now, I'm going to ask you some questions. Feel free to answer them with nodding or shaking your head. Now, you are not pressured by any means to answer them. I want to make this experience as comfortable as possible. Now, are you aware of the Hippocratic Oath?" Yui shook her head in response, Dr. Kurosawa still giving her a warm smile. "It's something all doctors must use; to treat patients equally, to teach the next generation medicine, and most importantly to keep the patient's information private. Anything you say here will be confidential between us, unless you give me permission to tell your guardians."
Yui nodded, understanding her position in this.
"Now. Let's get started, shall we? Have you been in any difficult situation within the past month?"
Yes.
"Were you in a psychical fight? The doctors noticed some previous injuries still healing, and you have a fractured ankle."
Yes, something like that.
"Would you describe this event as something you had control in?"
No.
"Now, I want you to be completely honest with me. If you cannot answer this question, then you simply cannot answer it. It will help me understand your situation more, however I do not want to force anything out of you. Now, Komori-san...Were you assaulted?"
