After a long while, Abigail woke up and realized she slept off, It was midnight when she awoke. After getting out of bed, she went to her window and gazed at the stars, wishing she could fly to the sky. She wished for this because she was aware of her powers but her father would not allow her learn to use them. She looked at the spell book when she turned and walked to her bed. She took it up and attempted to read it, but she was still unable to interpret the words. After shutting the book, she made her way back to her window.
Upon reflection, she realised that returning to Ridden South was her only chance to acquire magic knowledge, as the Book of the gods was there and it was the only real spell book since she laid her hands on it.
Abigail decided she would go back to Ridden South. After selecting a black outfit from her closet and wrapping a black scarf around her hair, she carefully opened her room door and left. However, before she left, she ensured that her comb was free of hair fragments and that nothing from her body remained in her room to prevent the sorcerer from casting a resurrection spell again. She hid behind the statue of a night when she noticed two guards approaching from a distance while she was in the hallways. After they passed, she emerged.
After descending the steps, she noticed two guards stationed at the castle's main exit entrance. She devised a plan because they wouldn't let her go even if she pleaded politely.
"Guards, guards, there is a snake in my room," she cried as she raced to them.
The guard on the left asked, "What?" and they both drew out their swords.
She answered, "It's next to my bed," and the two of them ascended to her chamber. Once she was certain they had left, she dashed from the building and made her way to the backyard, where she boarded the swiftest horse and, upon reaching the gates, the sentries brandished their swords.
One of them said, "Stay back," and Abigail remained where she was.
"Open the gate immediately," she said.
"I'm afraid I can't because your father asked us not to," the guard remarked.
Grinning, Abigail held out her hand to the guards.
"I'm sure you both are aware I'm a witch and I can burn you both into ashes," she said. Though a little afraid, the guards refused to back down. She said, "I'm warning you, leave now or else you both will be history," but they refused to back down. "In the count of three, if you both are still at the gate, you'll see what I would do... One....two...," Abigail grinned and rode the horse out of the castle before she got to three because one of them unlocked the gate and they both moved away.It was dawning when she reached Ridden South. Because of what the duplicates had done the last time, all the women there gave her a terrified glance when she arrived. When Abigail got to the palace, she saw Commander Anne and Queen Kira. They both knew she would come back, so they weren't shocked when they saw her.
"See who's finally decided to return?" Queen Kira exclaimed.
"I returned because other spellbooks aren't working," stated Abigail.
"Of course, they won't work, I told you once you lay your hands on your first spell book, it becomes the book of the gods," replied Commander Anne.
"That explains why it didn't work," Abigail remarked.
"When Commander Anne showed me the book of the gods, it gave me more than enough reasons to believe you will come back," Queen Kira remarked, getting up from her throne and walking towards her. "Now you're home once again and this time, I won't let you go," Queen Kira said, looking directly into her eyes.
"I'm willing to stay here for as long as you want Mother," Abigail replied.
"I love how you call me mother," said Queen Kira, her smile spreading across her face.
"I also adore how much you treat me. I'm a princess and a daughter to you, but I'm a prisoner to my father."
That's right, child," Queen Kira affirmed, giving her a soft peck on the cheeks.
"So when do I resume my training?"
"Whenever you want dear, but wait, what if your father sends more duplicates to us, we cannot defeat a bunch of you,"
"Don't worry about that Mother, I have gotten rid of everything that is a part of me, now my father can't cast a resurrection spell," Abigail replied.
Queen Kira praised Abigail, saying, "You did a great job. Commander Anne, give Abigail her book and make sure she stays in the castle. You will be able to travel wherever you like after you have mastered your abilities, but for the time being, you must be escorted by guards before you depart since I cannot afford for you to be lost again,".
